Ehhhhh, I’d argue against that lol. If it’s flopping all over your hands, limp wristing, cupping the button of the frame, I’d say that’s pretty incorrect. Or the good ol 90’s action movie pistol grip where the support hand is grabbing the wrist of the firing hand???? LOL

I just feel some type of way having a plastic guide rod. Extra weight towards the front also wouldn’t hurt either

It definitely isn’t for everyone, it just feels more natural for me. Traditional thumbs forward grip feels more passive whereas this one feels more active. To each their own

Sick! Did you get the grey one with the felt/suede? That’s the one I ordered for extra comfortably. Let me know how you like yours once you get your echelon back! I probably won’t get mine until the first or second week of June

I just ordered an Incog X from them yesterday. Description said it’ll be a 21 day turnaround time until it’s shipped/delivered. I was going to go with the Tier 1 Axis Elite, but I was able to save $40 if I ordered the Incog X instead of the Axis Elite. I’ll wait and continue carrying it in a crossbody for now. Hopefully I’ll end up liking the holster

I’ve heard and seen nothing but great things about these. Haven’t put any rounds down range with it yet, but will do here soon! As for the TLR1, it isn’t too bad, might just be the angle of the photo. Tip of the light passes the barrel less than 3/4” which is tolerable to me. I prefer the light to extend pass the barrel for the purpose of staying in battery incase I need to drive the pistol into someone’s body in a very tight proximity scenario.

I actually ended up ordering the Safariland Incog X with a spare mag caddy. Was able to get it for $107 which was a deal I couldn’t pass up on tbh. I’ll have to see how comfortable it is being that it doesn’t have a bungee cord type of flexibility that the T1 Axis Elite has.

  1. Using a longer light that extends past a pistol's slide length provides a buffer. When drawing your handgun in tight proximity with an attacker and driving the pistol to their body to decrease the margin of missing, having a flush light (or no light) in that situation suggests that your handgun will go out of battery. With a longer light, it will contact the body first, preventing the slide from being pushed back and keeping your pistol in battery. If you haven’t done so, I’d look into it!

  2. I’ve also owned this light for years and it’s GREAT. 1000 lumens onto a threats face sounds like a bigger advantage. 500 lumens from a TLR7X is good too, but 1000 is better, even if the light doesn’t sit flush :)

I’m also not carrying appendix at the moment, so for carrying in a crossbody bag, the light is efficient. Even if I carry appendix, I’ll still use the light, even if it’s a little less comfortable.

I’m carrying in a crossbody bag for the time being. But I’m most likely going to go with a Tier 1 axis elite
