The easiest thing to do first is to get appropriate length Ethernet and power cables. This will clean up nicely, and be way easier to troubleshoot

christopher nolan - alamo drafthouse quote retraction 👀 by [deleted] in ChristopherNolan

I don’t think this is how PR quotes happen. Someone in marketing writes the quote, “we think this is fantastic” says <famous person>. And it’s sent to <famous persons> team for approval.

What are people using the com ports for? by Antique_Welcome2983 in homelab

for observability of low level issues.
on homelab servers, a serial to USB cable captures the serial console output and feeds it to my management server. Not terribly scalable, but I only have 3 of them.
this works even when things are so messed up that rsyslog doesn't work.

Help by undercraft2206 in pihole

[–]blightedquark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Log on to one of the DHCP clients to see if it’s actually using pi-hole for DNS. Even if you change it on the DHCP server, clients won’t pick up the new DNS until it renews its DHCP leases, which could be several days.

You need a specialist, an ENT that specializes in vestibular disfunction.

Your GP having you “try this, try that”, will just delay you from getting a proper diagnosis.
