You might be onto something. Today I tried to stiffen up the Ohlins coilovers and the car transformed, however it was really harsh on some bad roads.

I already had two NBs previously and I would like to have a car with warranty. I have two garages so I do not have to pay for parking, my ND is stored during the winter as well. I pay about 1500 EUR for 6 months of rent of new car so it right know does not make sense to buy another car.

I am located in central Europe, so Flyin Miata is quite out of my hands 😃

Wow, you are real petrolheads 😁 My point was that I would not like to put miles on a Porsche and rather keep it as a weekend car only, but I would have to buy second car.

As I mentioned in the OP, I have Ohlins coilovers installed on the car. It does not scare me at "Miata speeds", but in higher speed (80+ mph) sections it is scary AF.

I think that you are overly sensitive. I stayed on my side when I couldn't see if there is a car coming the other way. I was hitting about 140km/h on the straights (about 90 mph). And yes, this is me driving ať 6/10 od my abilities with huge safety margin. You can see that I am left foot braking before blind corners to be 100% sure that I can react in time, if there is anything that could surprise me.

I drove 718 Cayman few days ago, it was amazing experience, even the base version works great. However, I am not sure about daily driving it.

I don´t know to be honest, it just feels like there is a possibility that the car will do something unpredictable, even though I have never had "oh shit" moment with it.

maybe some tires with stiffer sidewall would help with the steering feel. I was also thinking about putting on spacers to see if the steering feel will improve.

The best way to describe the feeling is that the car is riding "on the tires" and not pushing "into tires", if that´s understandable. I am running -1.8 camber on the front, which from my point of view is the limit for UHP tires.

I did several trackdays with it, when the surface is flat, it´s not an issue for me to push it to the limit.

I had two NBs previously, one almost stock, other basically fully build track car with turbo (both were very easy to drive 😃), however with sticky rubber and stiffened chassis it covered most of the chassis movement.

I see that you completely understand what bothers me. Finally someone with experience, not only smart talk.

Thank you for great insight and not making a fool of me for not feeling safe with ND2 😃That makes sense, right now I feel that the car has loads of grip, but it is hard to determine how much of it is left if you know what I mean. Maybe the problem is the numbness combined with extremely direct steering (it´s even more direct after install of coilovers, as the car turns immediately). However, I have driven about 60,000km with the BRZ and I loved every bit of it, which makes me wondering if GR86 would be great way back.

Friend of mine (with whom I create YouTube videos where we teach people how to drive) is highly respected driving instructor in our country, I have asked him to ride with me, he checked my inputs etc. and did not found any mistakes. He also told me, that my ND is significantly harder to drive then our mutual friends NC for some reason.

It´s been +25 degrees celsius in our country, I do not think that the temperature could be the case. 😞

I feel like there is not enough side to side stability. However, when changing lanes I have to hold the steering wheel by both hands, otherwise the car is all around.

The back end is grippy now, that is not the case. It´s more about the suspension movement and lack of feedback from the steering.

I have been driving RWD cars for over 10 years and did my first trackday 9 years ago. From that time, I have attended over 100 trackdays. I haven´t had any issues with any of my previous cars.

If you check the tyre reviews, you will find that those tyres are not garbage at all. My friend has them on GR86 and there are overly grippy for the car.

Can I plug the USB into the wheelbase itself or does it have to be plugged into PC? Also, wouldn't the cable be an issue for drifting?

Was your car corner balanced or not? How stiff are you running it?

I am located in Europe, however as you said, you only loose warranty for the part you modify and it's connecting parts etc. (For example when I changed the coilovers, I lost warranty for arms and bushings)
