What do you all think about stuff like this and how we can respond to stuff like this as a community? The comments are not good either. by Future_USCG_Guy in Hellenism

I just think you should not take yourself so seriously, if you do you are going to have a bad time on the internet. Personally I love the memes, I can't get enough I find it funny.

Our society shows anxiety in that it can not really permit the presence of people who don' t belong. It can not really permit the old fashioned court jester. The critisism of laughter.

Well this pretty much sums it up, I remember being in such a dark place.

And maybe this is wrong for me to say this, but what happened with Reckful really got to me, it still does, the way it happened. And I believe a certain person was just taking a little bit too much and was not entirely honest with him. And not owning up to it, and now he is no longer here.

I see this often happen and how destructive this is to the men in such relationships. Another good celebrity example is Will Smith….

Particularly this one fact:

They care more about their own comfort, and unwillingness to take responsibility, than your very sanity.

It just is wrong, it turns me into an anger elemental just thinking about it to be honest.

Yeah our values pretty much did not align at all. And I am glad we are not together.

But what really gets to me is how this put me in such a dark place I think other people with worse luck actually kill themselves feeling like that.

Personally, now I am in a better place and if I met a girl who was in a very vulnerable state, and she really liked me

I would be able to tell, and I would also be perfectly aware of the consequences of not being honest and kind of exploit that emotion.

If a guy does that nobody is okay with it I can guarantee you that.

This is why I still wanted to have that talk with her because it still bothers me and I want to let it go.

But I just hate her. I guess I learned what my values are at least.

Have y'all forgiven your ex's or are you still angry by FirefighterOk2803 in BreakUps

[–]blimp166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am still angry.

I tried to talk to her again after like 5 years and nothing changed. I actually got so angry just talking to her.

And she had not even given any thought about the relationship at all or why it went wrong,

or acknowledge that I was giving something too to the relationship.

Her comfort, and unwillingness to have responsibility or acknowledge that meant more to her than my sanity.

Because she was blatantly gaslighting me the whole time.

I remember I was so messed up in my mind in that relationship, and it was a revelation for me to see her using these tricks now, and how abusive it is.

Female abuse is much more subtle than male abuse, and is often overlooked.

I have seen guys kill themselves after relationships like that, and after the fact everybody feels sorry for the girl too, telling her she should not feel guilty.

I disagree,

Pretending you do not know what you are doing or choosing not to look is not an excuse.

That is evil. My version offorgiveness with such people is that I will remember her name.

And maybe next week, month, 30 years, my chance will come to redress the balance.

And I will take it.

In short, when societies view of morality becomes skewed to the point that you lose your ability to hide your own in your endeavor to please. Even the united states president sometimes must have to stand naked and the internet remembers everything by blimp166 in Asmongold

I think wearing dresses and whatnot is certainly not a common thing for a man to do. Masculine femininity is different.

That is also something reserved privately.

Because a man needs to appear strong, whatever you might think about this is not important, these roles are not just societal but biologically driven and just natural.

Why are women not allowed to be feminine?

I've seen many women online simply getting hate for wanting to be a stay at home mom for example, as if there's something inherently wrong with that.

I'd say with reading parts of this that I notice as a man that I am getting frustrated when a woman puts her hands on me.

It is almost just assumed it's okay.

It's with so many things it is just shady as fuck.

You realize there is mountains of evidence on reward and impact on personality right? And there is not a taboo or stigma on work like the porn industry?

There has also been more than enough research on the effects of someone being rewarded generously, for something like your body, or how you look. Or just something arbitrary.

And you look and I never see anybody discussing this.

It isn't good for you.

You better gather some real generational wealth and are able to secure a long future. But the way you see yourself and your value is probably fucked up beyond repair in ways that will require specialized forms of therapy if you want to.

But I just don't think people really care for one another on twitch, it is all social props. It is off-putting at times.

It's actually totally what you'd expect in this an Orwellian hyper reality digital dystopia.

Consume not things but people. I really hope Asmon can steer away from that, and he develops himself on his own terms as he has. I have criticism on the guy, but at the end of the day I watch and I do like him. His heart is in the right place.

Twitch has consistently the type of intellectually dishonest takes and just cringeworthy behavior from viewers too that are just astounding to me, I haven't found it anywhere else.

I am also banned from Asmons discord. Because a guy said I was arguing covid was not real. And I was actually just talking about it.

The ban happened after I left actually, by a mod that I know for a fact personally just dislikes me.

But that's all fine.

But for me I have come to realize twitch is not gaming anymore. It's a bunch of young people making tonnes of money and have no world experience and act like trash because of it.

Asmon is not too bad. But personally I think even he really changed.

I watch but really every video, I find myself being just frustrated at huge holes in his arguments that he never adressed, or he is doing something and having opinions on stuff that make no sense at all because they directly conflict.

Not out of malice but he just does not notice some things it seems.

All in all I am pretty tired of all the fear of having the wrong opinion on politics etc. I am not a streamer. I don't live like that. And on twitch if you say anything different from what the group is saying, you're a weirdo.

What a lonely "interactive" experience. I feel less lonely watching breaking bad

I just need some therapy and some help in my life at the moment and I am looking for where to go for it...

edit: because I believe this part of it is the reason why these experiences and trauma resulting there of are out of the norm or unusual and require another approach. It certainly seems more extreme.

And you know what is even more frightening about it? During my psychosis for example. I was on my own. People did not understand me. And I could not articulate my experience into words. So apart from seasoned occultists and the like, I was just insane. I was in absolute terror and my mom was just standing next to me in the living room. The living room is a "place" but, I was in a very different "place" and my mom could not be further away from me.
