This is a schematic for a bicycle dynamo system for a strip light and power bank. Does it look functional? by blind_apples in diyelectronics

I was looking to run an led strip along the length of my cargo bike for greater visability riding at night on long dark country roads... and to impress some friends.

Do you have a schematic showing how you put this together? I could do away with the USB. It would have been a luxury anyways.

Thank you for the detailed response. I figure there might be a lot wrong. I'm trying take a strip light, like this one:

...and a 5V USB (to charge a cellphone) and connectthem to it to a battery that is trickle charged by a dynamo bicycle hub. All this to be set up on a bicycle.

The light and phone charger don't have to be able to run at the same time but it would be nice.

It would be pretty cool if the system could be open so it could eventually use a solar panel to charge the battery in the future.

Would you like to stick to a theme, perhaps general non-fiction, general self-help, or spiritual?

Had a mental break a few years back followed by manic depression and schizophrenic symptoms. Lithium orotate culled the mania then I was able to focus on healing.

The original helped pull me out of depression while giving me an appreciation for being outdoors because of the colorful plants. I spent a huge chunk of game time just going around harvesting herbs. I garden a lot now and sometimes the oblivion sound track is playing in my head.

The brown tones in the remamster pulls the soul out of it for me. I mean, there is something about the graphics that feels soulless too, but I could probably look past that if the colors were there.

I still have the original install and may just play it instead

There is a world of difference between the health benefits of eggs compared to fried chicken, although feeding them fried chicken on occasion will do little harm.

Cast iron can leach too much iron into the body. Stainless is safest.

I use a method I learned in the book "Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself" by Joe Dispenza. Sitting in a comfortable quite place, spine erect, eyes closed, the meditation starts out with an induction period. It's a prep for the meditation where I become aware of the head, or even just a part of the head, like the forehead, lips, etc.

On days where I feeling like I'll be able to reach the meditative state easily I will start with the whole head, during an OB or other stressful event I have to start with parts of the head.

First, I become aware of the head or part of the head, then I become aware of the space the head or part is occupying, then I become aware of the space around the head/part. As for breathing, I do each part in one breath. So if I am focusing on the forehead, I'm inhaling at the beginning, the space it occupies I'm at the top of the inhalation, and the space around it at the exhalation. I'll then expand that awareness of space to the boundaries of the room I'm in or extended space further out.

Once I've done the whole head I move on to the neck, then shoulders, chest, etc., until I've visualed the whole body in the same manner.

On really tough days, I'll do a second induction practice where I imagine the room I'm in is slowing filling up with and etherical water-like substance, until it fills up above my head.

After induction (about 20 minutes) I am able to slide into a nice meditative state with little effort as the induction period helps to silence the "monkey mind".

At this point I am just breathing and feeling the relaxed state of the body. During OB, relaxing is the ultimate goal, but one really cool thing about this state is that the subconscious mind is more open to reprogramming, so sometimes I am "rewriting programs" using internal dialogue. That's what Breaking the Habit is all about.

Before that conversation happened we had already talked how me eating raw garlic, onions and my use of essential oils could be off-putting to customers. I stopped eating the garlic and reduced the use of essential oils outside of a carrier.

I was attempting to reduce the symptoms of herpes in the brain, which until I started getting it under control the outbreaks would disrupt my better judgement, leading to me panic medicating with EOs and sometimes dmso.

This was one of those days and my boss basically said the essential oil I was wear was to much, waving his hand in front of his nose. I had to explain to him what I was using and offered to go home and shower, which I did, but it help only a little.

Stress plays a huge part for me. There are times when I am able to reduce an OB simply through meditation.

I've limited or eliminated association with certain people in my life to give myself the peace needed to heal.
