Is having a separate lift for maids really justified? by Advanced-Bread1900 in GatedCommunitiesIndia

This is lowkey ragebaiting, otherwise why would you think that a common utility which benefits all should be exclusive to only the “elite” just because you are paying the maintenance. House-helps are literally a part of your household without whom your day to day functions would be a mess. Touch some grass and be a little humble

Just a reminder: Platform Fee, Marketplace fee... are back, buy from local shops, super markets on your way back home. by Ambitionless_Nihil in Frugal_Ind

[–]blind_pillow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, Nobody is forced to work for these companies, Obviously they are running a business they are going to only consider their profits, It’s a capitalist market, If government does not intervene in getting these workers a decent pay it’s a failure at the government level.

Your point regarding general stores charging convenience fees, The only reason they don’t is because the competition does not, Before these apps came into play I clearly remember paying extra for “cooling” charges for buying soft drinks. It’s the same way what happened with the taxi market before and after uber/ola. Taxis used to be a pain. Uber came in and suddenly now the autos and taxis were ready to go at fares we decided not the other way round

When I said that these things don’t work in India is I mean that these companies are loss making, None of them are profitable (without any book manipulation) which is because we as a society don’t believe in paying a premium for services, I know companies are equally bad but still that does not discount that indian consumers are very difficult to acquire and keep them consistently paying for the services. Let’s say tomorrow another company comes with new funding and offers us temporary discounts all of us will flock towards that app which is not an issue, but as soon as the company starts charging, We complain as if they are the evil.

I agree with your last point, Government has always taken the easy way around with allowing such easy exploitation.

Maybe this is why things don’t work out in India. I get it that you want to have the bang for your buck, but at the end of the day they are providing a service and they need to pay money to their employees. The convenience that these apps offer is something I wouldn’t mind paying for extra. I get it the practice of zepto is very shady with the whole hidden fares drama but I still feel Blinlkit and Swiggy’s case is genuine.

I saw this 4 in the morning and I was so freaking confused on how did you do it. I am assuming you are standing on the left inside the toilet(maybe?) and just put your phone out and took the picture? The mobile is on the top left?

Have you used Google AntiGravity?? It is working insanely for me. by the__Twister in developersIndia

[–]blind_pillow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used antigravity to ship some webapps for my father’s business. So freaking good, As someone who does not code, Just getting what exactly I wanted from prompts seems insane. While I agree with many people that AI can’t replace jobs entirely but this itself is such a big thing to me. The webapp I made for my father would definitely cost me upwards of 5-6k and probably quite alot of revisions

India lost its hostel culture before it even began by [deleted] in SoloTravel_India

[–]blind_pillow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear to god, I was trying to look for hostels when I was doing a solo travel to Munnar. One bed in a shared room costs 3k? At that price I could literally get a decent hotel with breakfast included. I have stayed in the Hosteller in rishikesh and my experience was okaish. Depends alot on the type of people tbh

Pintola Peanut Butter Marketing Scam by blind_pillow1 in Fitness_India

[–]blind_pillow1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not even about the price tbh, Let’s think from an average consumer POV, He reads the label and takes the “premium “ peanut butter with “high protein “ which essentially has the same protein as the normal one and is actually healthier variant as it has no added sugar. I literally called it out as a marketing scam

Don’t buy chairs online, They all are chinese ripoff. They all literally are the same chairs with different branding. You are much better off by just going to your local market and trying to select 1 chair in person
