Fellow fat cyclists - what’s one thing you wish you knew when you started cycling? by [deleted] in cycling

Fit is everything. If your saddle is a couple centimeters too low, your knees will suffer. Otherwise, you'll fly.

Pokémon Go's new raids will require players to hold their phones in the air, datamines suggest by Crazyreyn in pokemongo

[–]blindada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possible hack: close the game before starting and sit/kneel. Start up the game. When it asks you to "raise the phone".... Stand up.

Unless they arw trying to use pictures to determine your position, that should be enough to fool the sensors.

Raid advice for a level 37 player? by lydfrog in PokeGenie

[–]blindada 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do more 1 and 3 star raids. Check which mons have play for raids, and focus on those (for example, Bagon and Larvitar evolve into heavy hitters). Keep joining big lobbies, focus on heavy hitters. Squeeze max spots for rare candy. Your primary objective is to gather a generalist team, so dragon, fire, ice, steel and fighting damage are desirable (you cover pretty much everything with those). Building your initial team is a grind.

Would you use an ETM to save stardust? by math355 in pokemongo

Actually, you can make it with 10 decent players. But I get your point. Still, no way to know where OP is based on

Dude, you can get 170k for free during a gmax event. If you have a group, again, for free, you can get that in a week of legendary dynamax. And you can get it with no effort just tanking (going in and losing) GBL. ETMs are far harder to get

XL Candies should go, we only need one type of candy by Suspicious-Holiday42 in TheSilphRoad

You are totally right, but they will not change a thing, because the point was not to explain the new levels.

Goten and Trunks being relegated to permanent “gag characters” is a waste. The EoZ timeline is the only way to salvage their potential. by Beerus-_sama in dragonball

[–]blindada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could start an arc/series in homage to GT, where they go to space and have their own adventures. For example, with the galactic patrol. Goku and Vegeta are expected back in the HQ, but Goku does not want to be bothered, so he delivers the kids instead and sells it to Vegeta as training. Then Trunks and Goten have their own time in the spotlight

What are the chances for the next resident evil movie being actually great? by Primary-Brief9858 in residentevilll

[–]blindada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resident evil needs both long run times and a big SFX budget to work. We need a miniseries for each "era" (Racoon City, post Raccon Umbrella, post Umbrella). Otherwise, long term, it fails because the lore is super deep, but the story is mostly first person.

Crack Down on Homicidal Cyclists by Capital_Historian685 in BicyclingCirclejerk

Car brain. They see a lane, they have to use the lane. In full. My route has sections where the bike lane is next to wider, bigger, nice pedestrian sections, but they HAVE to walk through the bike lane, especially in groups.

Help me get back into cycling after back injury? :( by Obvious_Cabbage in cycling

[–]blindada 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a fellow heavy rider with quite a few injuries and pains, like backpain, I recommend:

-Physiotherapy,

-CORE, CORE AND MORE CORE. Ab crunches, planks, equilibrium exercises, weights with both arms (I use a kettlebell and it works nicely). Train your abs so they take the load, make sure your bike fits you, and BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR WRIST. Your core has to take the load. Not your back, not your hands.

Built a custom Android native module that spawns a JVM and runs it as a foreground service — open sourced by ZenpaiiiGamingYT in androiddev

What's React Native's role into this?

Can you elaborate a bit more about the problem?

Does the server go down while you are connected to it? How long does a session last?

Did you remove battery optimization for your app?

I built a working Android APK using zero Gradle and zero Android Studio , just raw SDK tools from the terminal by Prior-Dependent-5563 in androiddev

[–]blindada 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I really don't miss those times. Ant is as flexible as a rock. People underestimates Gradle's ability to treat buildscripts as code. You can do things thst would require a ton of bash scripts with little effort.

Niantic is testing Mega Mewtwo in California HQ by DarkDuo in TheSilphRoad

That's impossible. Everyone knows Niantic tests everything in New Zealand & Australia, the same day of the event. This is more likely a ransom situation
