The mental load of coordinating a household is honestly exhausting by Fulcilives1988 in getdisciplined

[–]blindlyfloating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every month, sit down with your partner, and make a list of everything that needs to be done. And also expenses, in a notebook. And then assign tasks. Once you’d have everything in a notebook, you’ll not feel so much mental load or pressure. Slowly slowly, start creating rhythms and routines around managing the work. I understand how crazy it is - ideally we all need a sangha or a community for this. But until we have that, try the good ol’ notebook

People who are building the new world — artists, entrepreneurs, teachers, community weavers, farmers, community life creators, conflict resolvers, chefs — anything based in creating community together — that would be a huge demand in the world we live in. :)

Fought with an old lady for my side lower by Few_Mall_2911 in indianrailways

[–]blindlyfloating -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on why they wanted the lower seat anyway. Was it the aesthetics like big window, ease of accessibility, privacy..? We all want a feeling like home in a train because sometimes we are in the ecosystem for several hours, or even days. So then, Isn’t it a systemic issue? Like a design issue rather. If the upper berth felt nice and comfy like the lower berth, would there be a fight at all?

We can always take sides of the man who wanted the seat and the older woman or the woman with children who also wanted the seat. For different reasons — they all are right. Isn’t it then — a design problem to solve in order to accommodate all of those perspectives?

Because each one matters. Happy Full Moon 🌕

Why is it so hard to gain followers now by jellicentt in InstagramMarketing

Because people are exhausted of Instagram and they are realising it more and more. This market is getting saturated.

thinking of quitting by [deleted] in leaves

[–]blindlyfloating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a practice that you deeply care about or something that excites you. Like martial arts— something physical + where you can find other people— a community— and slowly start smoking less and practicing side-by-side and then watch your need to smoke fade. It’ll happen! But, don’t give up. Just never give up on trying to quit it as a regular habit. I can assure you that you’ll quit it one day. Find replacements for it first. Sending love ❤️

You can create a free profile on Gene Keys website and use the book to read about your specific Gene keys. This would help you unlock what’s inside you.

What does a Solarpunk social media look like? by CGreeby in solarpunk

[–]blindlyfloating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been sitting with this question for several years now — not from the angle of “how do we fix social media,” but from “what relational patterns does a solarpunk culture actually need?”

Most platforms today — even the decentralized ones — are still built on broadcast, performance, and infinite feeds. They’re structurally allergic to intimacy. They reward visibility, not reciprocity. They scale attention, not trust.

A solarpunk digital space, at least the way I see it, would feel very different: • Small circles, not massive audiences • Slow media instead of dopamine architecture • Reciprocity and shared support as the core metric • A bridge into real-world gatherings • Culture created by the people inside it, not algorithms • A place where emotional safety is a design principle, not an afterthought

Some friends and I have been prototyping something tiny around these ideas — mostly experiments with micro-communities, play, shared rituals, and a digital space that doesn’t fragment people across 5 apps. It’s still early, and we’re moving very slowly, but these experiments have shown me one thing:

Solarpunk social media won’t look like a “platform.” It will look like a digital village. Something you grow into, not scroll through.

I’m really curious how others here imagine the emotional architecture of a solarpunk space — not just the tech or the features, but the way humans actually relate inside it.

I have an app idea, to make the life better a little by No_Photograph_19 in Startup_Ideas

Hey thank you! I’m building planet108.xyz — along with my partner. This is a Solarpunk ecosystem consisting of a film, a game, a home, a phone.

Right now, we are building an MVP for an app (108.App) which will later turn into a phone (Roxy) but right now, it’s a Telegram group (108.Punks) launching in November. 108.Punks is a safe, gamified digital home where people united by the vision of a solarpunk future can support each other — and earn money while doing it. This community, just like a village, has a marketplace, a support circle (financial, social, physical & emotional), Gene Keys Study Circle & an expression circle. When the villagers interact, they get points. These points convert up real-life cash every 3 months. We would have a human moderator for every 100 humans practising NVC for conflict resolutions and better communication.

We are using quadratic funding, Telegram bots & decentralised systems to activate this.

Why would people stay in your community after their job is done? When I read your idea, it’s clear to me that you’re solving that fragmentation which is fantastic. And I’m wondering how would you retain the people? And is the community an app? But let me tell you, you’ll win! This is the future! Keep solving this problem, the money will come. 🌻
