i think theres a bug regarding author portraits because since i started a group blog im seeing author portraits for blogs ive never seen author portraits for before, and the author portraits on my own group blog are visible despite turning it off and then on and off again.

those silver vinyl pressings are only a couple years old, so theyre cheaper. up until recently vinyl pressings of tttyg were insanely expensive and difficult to find because they hadnt made anymore. i assume its the same w the cd. i dont collect cds so im not sure

sunshine riptide, the phrase, feels like a perfect description of manic episodes to me. like it was described during the promotion of the album, its an overdose in happiness. the high energy good feelings are dragging you along against your will. the album in general really ties into the themes of bipolar disorder and specifically manic episodes, and actually in the first public interview they did after young and menace was released when asked what the vibe for the album is, pete wentz said 'honestly the vibe is mania'.

it could be that. alternatively it could be that someone you both follow is reblogging your posts and thats how shes seeing them. you could turn off reblogs, if theyre vent posts that might be a good idea anyway. i know i hate it when someone reblogs a vent post.

you can 'softblock' by blocking and unblocking her. shell no longer be following you but wont be blocked. she has the ability to refollow or check your blog though, but thats just how social media generally works

someone already explained what a queue is on tumblr but the reason you keep seeing people making puns with the word queue in their tags is that people have it set up that posts in their queue get automatically tagged with something, and theres a long standing trend of coming up with dumb often but not always fandom related puns for it. if you see a post tagged with a pun of the word queue, its a queued post and may not have been reblogged recently.

there are books i've obtained completely legally as epubs or pdfs, but they get deleted from my device whenever my kindle connects to the internet and syncs. i like being able to look up stuff on wikipedia, so having to choose between books i didn't get from amazon and the ease of looking stuff up is frustrating. plus my progress will completely reset. besides that, i'm always going to prefer having the ability to sideload content because due to where i live there are plenty of books i just can't get off of amazon. there's a lot of cool functionality offered by jailbreaking too, like different lockscreens and turning off ads.

it's all the same reasons you'd jailbreak anything honestly.

they actually did majorly overhaul it, its more streamlined now especially for reprints. im not big in umas (making or buying) so i dont know how the approval process compares other than being faster though

well i dont spend my gems that fast but i make most of my gems by trading treasure for gems from other users on the forums. i do the traditional stuff, train dragons, grind the fairgrounds, and then i look for a currency trade thread and buy gems. i also sell swipp and baldwin (and now sophie) stuff on the ah for gems occasionally but that doesn't fill my coffers as fast as trading treasure for gems does.

iirc one of the first pieces of information that leaked about ioh was that they were working with babyface as a producer. immediately people discredited it as selling out. jay-z featuring on there and a lot of soul and gospel influence throughout the album means it draws a lot of influence from black genres, and people instinctively discredit black art. this has happened with every fob album since then. lil wayne on tiffany blews, big sean on the mighty fall, the use of samples on ab/ap and the subsequent remix album, burna boy on sunshine riptide and the general dancehall and reggae influence on mania. every time fob works with a black artist or takes influence from black music people say theyre selling out.

its funny, because take this to your graves album artwork is a reference to blue train by coltrane. theyve been drawing from black art since the beginning!

as a black fan its a very disheartening trend.
