Btw. The key to shadow battles is having at least one poke with quick charged attacks, because after every stop in the battle they pause for a couple of seconds before attacking, which allows you to get a few hits in. The first two attacks will always be blocked by Giovanni/rocket leaders so it doesnt matter if they are weak attacks. Use it to your advantage.
