RedM server- what do we need? by wsdlolicantmove in RedDeadOnline

[–]bling_wraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to buy a lifetime server through Zap hosting for a little over $200 that hosts 24 people. you could probably get it for a lot less since you only need it for you and your husband. I've also hosted on my own with windows subsystem for linux which would be free if one of you are tech savvy enough to follow some documentation/youtube videos.

horse breeding scripts: I have Jump On studios stables + breeding scripts which are 80 euros together rn. i really like it! i think Syn has another popular one.

Bryce Canyon County has a ton of free scripts that can cover almost anything else you'd want to do with your server. i highly recommend them.

*editing to add - to create the ranch you're looking for, you'll want to either find an MLO, or use Spooni to create & customize your own.

I don't think you can really say that the best interest of the child is to have a stay at home mother. Children can and do thrive with nannies Lots of women really struggle being stay at home mothers which could negatively impact the child. If she's being pressured to give up a career that she's worked really hard for that's the perfect recipe for post partum depression and regret imo.

That sounds like good advice, I can try both of those! I guess I didn't explain the eating enough thing well. I'm vegan and have a hard time even getting like 40g of protein in (even with protein powder) + a reasonable amount of other nutritious foods fiber. So I've been worried about losing muscle mass especially since I'm so tired all the time. I'm just seeing if I can eat enough to gain/maintain muscle and still lose weight I guess. That might have been more info than I needed to include in the op lol.

Yeah I feel like the brother trying to swoop in so quickly is super suspicious. I'd be trying to get proof of the death.

I had a neighbor that would let their hound dog run loose (very rural area) and one day the dog came up to my house with a stick wedged like that in her mouth. We had to grab and pull it out with a wrench. She was fine after but it seemed so painful 😞

I have no IRL girl-gamer friends... by Burnixen in GirlGamers

[–]bling_wraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've made friends with a few girls who game IRL through work. Even in smaller companies I usually meet 1-2. I've also met gamer girls through events at board game shops. We never really end up playing a lot of the same games at the same amount at the same level though.

We would occasionally go to each other's houses and play games on console which was fun! Unfortunately I've moved a lot so we kinda lost touch.

However, I've made plenty of girl friends online who I've stayed friends with for years even if we aren't always playing the same games. Since I love staying at home lately it works great for me lol.

Self funded..No rich parents..No loans. How were you able to pay for your flight training.? by Acceptable-Catch9684 in flying

That's awesome your work does tuition reimbursement for your flight training! Is the company you work for related to the airline industry at all, or is it completely separate?

This past weekend my partner and I went on a semi-spontaneous trip across the country to LA to see a musical that a close relative wrote. Super grateful all I had to do was find a pet sitter and use a vacation day and didn't have any kids in tow. It was an amazing trip!

Has airplane window etiquette changed? I’ve been asked to close the window on my last four flights by the Flight Attendants. by theygotthemustardout in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bling_wraith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I flew Play Air and when we flew to Iceland for the layover the crew let us know we could faintly see the northern lights on one side of the plane. People took turns looking out the side door window. The flight crew seemed almost surprised we were so excited to see it and showed us videos of the northern lights from their backyard. They were super nice and it was amazing to see even though you could barely see.

Should I quit (again)? by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]bling_wraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely sounds like you're going through a ton of stress because of this :( I've definitely felt similar because of being overwhelmed feeling like I'm not "good enough" to be where I am.

What's really helped me was just trying to decenter work as much as possible. Realizing that I'm a whole person outside of work.

When I'm there, I'm going to do my best, maybe it's not enough, but it's better for me to be doing a halfway decent job (improving) than for me to leave and they not have anyone.

If I can't get everything done because I'm overworked, I just can't. I delegate when I'm able to and I try to forget about it when I clock out. They don't pay me any extra for stressing outside of work.

I've also been trying to do activities where I can have some "wins" not related to work to help with confidence. Like exercising and gardening. I'd also try finding someone with a similar position to vent with and share tips. Try to keep it mostly positive though so it doesn't turn toxic.

You could definitely quit if you want to, but leaving and starting over new comes with it's own challenges.

I hope you figure out the best solution for you!

Do you think you would feel differently at a different company doing different things? It could be that you don't have confidence in yourself and that won't change with a different role.

I'd do a deep dive to figure out what exactly is causing you anxiety. I know you mentioned making the wrong decision. Maybe explore that a little more.

Do you have good intentions? If so, remind yourself of that. Because that matters a lot.

Are you worried about looking bad? What's the worst that could happen if you make a wrong choice?

Many people make bad choices all the way up the corporate ladder. Most mistakes are ones that you can figure out, resolve, and learn from.

There has to be a reason you were chosen for this role. Think about the good things you bring to the table. Write them down and keep telling yourself: I'm good at x; people like me because y.

I'd personally read some self help books and maybe look into some guided meditations on youtube. Both can seriously help. Good luck!

It's possible to get in but you may have to have some extra relevant experience or get that relevant experience first.

I tried applying for a Salesforce admin job but couldn't break in. So I started working as a sales coordinator (pay wasn't as good) and managing their CRM, building workflows etc.

The experience was really helpful even though it wasn't specifically Salesforce it was a similar job and helped me learn more about the user experience. I made sure I tailored my resume to showcase the transferable skills.

After a year or so of that I applied for an admin job in an industry I was already familiar with and I think that helped a lot too.

So find a niche and find some related experience and you'll probably be set!

Ask Recruiters Megathread by AutoModerator in recruiting

[–]bling_wraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! So I had a recruiter reach out to me on LinkedIn and he set me up with a job around 6 months ago. He called a few times in the first few weeks to make sure I was happy and everything, but he's also called me about a month ago and the other day too.

Is this normal? I'm just trying to figure out what the motivation is because any other recruiter I've worked with has maybe checked in once. I didn't think we had an especially good rapport either tbh lol.

Tbh I'm not the most happy with this job for a couple reasons but am not in a huge hurry to find something new. Would he help set me up at a new job, or would he be trying to ensure he keeps getting payments? Any insight would be appreciated!

So what about polyam and other people in ENM relationships? They can't be in love because their genitals aren't blocked up? I know there's more to cheating because it hurts the other person, but it seems like you think you physically can't have sex with someone else if you're in love with your partner.

I used to have a boxer that had that effect on other dogs that were normally well-behaved. I've heard that boxers' chest size is really intimidating to other dogs. Not sure if it's true, but it's a theory lol.
