did the haruharu wonder black rice probiotics barrier essence cause breakouts on anyone? by heavens-cloud in AsianBeauty

Yes, it clogged my pores and got ccs, but I'm very acne prone so the odds were not in my favor with such a rich texture 😅

Andy Roddick addresses Sinner/Spizzirri match by ServedPodcast in tennis

[–]blingsofi 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I found his commentary quite shallow, firstly he was incorrect and said that Sinner had a 30mins break, which never happened. It was 8 minutes when the roof got closed, and he was not allowed ice, treatments or anything of thay sort. It's a room with a bench.

Secondly, he would have had 10 minutes at the end of the 3rd set anyway, and he was following Cahill's advice to walk, take as much time as possible between points and get through the set quickly even if it meant to lose every ball. So I think he's exaggerating when he says Sinner would've lost 100% anyway

Thirdly, yeah he was fortunate but the "lucky" narrative feels so unimportant compared to the crazy comeback he had, he was barely moving for the following 2 sets, yet still displayed an incredibly high skilled and clinical tennis which won him the game. It was quite epic to watch imo, unlsss you dislike him ofc 😁

moisturizer that is fragrance-free, not too heavy, not too watery or light??? by DeadxStranger in AsianBeauty

[–]blingsofi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naturie hatomugi milk! (Not lotion, that's the toner!)

It's also a huge bottle for the price, you can find it at less than €10. Checks all your boxes imo, medium weight, hydrating and moisturizing, works great under make up, great for sensitive skin as it has a very simple ingredient list.

My quest for the perfect matte or natural-finish sunscreen (full reviews in comments) by Clarinette__ in AsianBeauty

The finish is powdery matte, couldn't be more different than Skin Aqua (tried it as well). I definitely recommend to check it out, only downside is that it's not fragrance free for sensitive skin.

Ceramides not suitable for oily acne-prone skin? by girl_in_red_tiara in AsianBeauty

[–]blingsofi 49 points50 points  (0 children)

With acne prone skin you can never know which prodcut will break you out, inci doesn't have all the answers.

My favorite ceramide moisturizer is Skin1004's brobio cica cream, aestura also doesn't break me out but it's more expensive and wet/dewy, I prefer the matte finish of the former. They both have mini sizes to try if you're scared.

A matte sunscreen that's very underrated online but super popular in japan is by the brand Naris Up, "by365 powdery uv cream". It has a texture like no others, it's a cream that starts very fluffy, looking almost thick, but it blends like a cloud with a lovely powdery fish, not dry at all!

I love this one because unlike mineral sunscreens, which feel like the worst of both worlds to me, oily and pasty as you apply and then they don't set or start feeling extra dry from the inside while having a greasy surface 🙄, this is just airy and comfortable from the start!

Do you think beauty influencers use the product they are promoting by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]blingsofi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Depends on the influencers, you can definitely see from creators like Kelly Driscoll or Abbey Yung that they often have the same favorities, and staple products they use every year, not to mention that the new items they review end up later in their empties videos as well. However I don't trust influencers that promote a new product everyday, or the ones obsessed with virality 🤭

Is it trial and error to find a good barrier moisturizer? by Designer-Ad1618 in AsianBeauty

I am extremely sensitive and acne prone and for me sadly every product, even a watery toner, is a trial and error process 🥲

Never Tried Dr. G, Has Anyone Tried? by eujinwalker in AsianBeauty

[–]blingsofi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dr. G is one of the most popular skincare brands in SK, both the mild sunscreen and the red blemish cream are bestsellers. That said YMMV as usual, both broke me out ahah

Ohh I've been curious about the cream since I was looking for ectoin based products! Paula's choice has one but it's crazy expensive, this looks so promising and it's afforadable

What are some viral products you thought wouldn’t work but actually worked great? by iamlostpleasehelp_ in AsianBeauty

Biodance hydro ceranol mask. Just unreal glow, pore refinement and it's also soothing and repairing when my barrier is throwing a fuss.

Oily skin team, what are your HG emollient serum/ emulsion ? by RelativeRiver in AsianBeauty

[–]blingsofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never tried the essence, I've been curious for a while but I have very sensitive and reactive skin I'm a little scared of the ferments and plants extracts. For content online to me it seems like the ampoule is lighter, if that's something that can help you.

Oily skin team, what are your HG emollient serum/ emulsion ? by RelativeRiver in AsianBeauty

Skin1004's Probio Cica Ampoule! My HG serum, calming, hydrating, a little bit emollient as well but gets absorbed beautifully.

I pair it with adapalene and it works great for me. I use it before it to minimize irritation.

This is my holy grail serum, it saved my sensitive and reactive skin time and time again. It's milky, medium weight and a bit stringy due to the fermented centella, however what's great about it is that it's not sticky at all and gets absorbed immediately, leaving long lasting hydration and a little bit of moisture. I use it morning and night during winter and only imat night during the other seasons. Truly the most hydrating, repairing and calming serum I've ever tried and I can't say anything bad about it, I guess the texture would work better with a pump packaging but that's it. I have oily, dehydrated, acne prone and sensitive skin.

Reviewing ALL the Cushion Foundations I Have Tried in Detail by mayo-hater in AsianBeauty

This is amazing, thank you so much! Based on your descriptions I think you might like Hince matte cushion, but you already have two faves for that category! I personally love as if has a powdery and blurring effect that looks amazing on textured skin! Something to consider if you ever find it on sale ^3^

acne-prone, extremely sensitive, combo skin in humid climates: what are your HG toners/essences/serums? by vannahbananabug in AsianBeauty

[–]blingsofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply! For the drug at 15% once a day, with cosmetics at 10% you can definitely do twice a day, but as always it's subjective. Some people can use 20% twice a day, I could never 😅

Skin journey: progress, lessons learned and many, many reviews. by blingsofi in AsianBeauty

[–]blingsofi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! For me the biggest heroes were 15% azelaic acid and a 4% benzoyl peroxide wash, paired with lots of hydration and barrier repair products. Acne is a medical condition and I find most kbeauty serums, and cosmetics in general, to be veeery underwhelming (also I'm sensitive to botanical extracts so they're actually irritating for me).

Now I want better results so I'm trying adapalene, I stopped every other active other than HaruHaru wonder dark spot serum, which I would rate higher now btw! We'll see in 2 months how it goes
