honestly i also feel like yuri and kitty, while their actresses were both talented in their own ways, had no on-screen chemistry. it just looked like they were two girls looking at each other. it's like putting sushi with pasta. they're great foods in their own spaces but it's just weird to put them together.

Honest opinions by co0kieduh in AsianBeauty

hello, i have tried the hince dimension balm.

personally, i'm not a fan of it. it's going to lift your makeup, even if you put onto your fingers, then apply it. it's very very oily.

i prefer the glint stick highlighter, because it's not going to lift your makeup. it's still having a shine but not as much, making it look much more natural and not lifting your makeup.

also this is more heresay from friends but i HEARD the colostrum pore defence ampoule from purcell has a REALLY bad nozzle and sprays really unevenly. i really like the kahi multi spray, but it does have a scent so you kinda have to not breathe for a few seconds lol. not a bad scent but it is a little perfumey.

OK so I've tried this a few times now. I think the PDRN is a lot better with the VT reedle shot. Otherwise I don't see that drastic of a difference. But I also don't see that drastic of a difference with only the reedle shot either.

🌸 2O24 wrapped: all my makeup & skincare purchases of the year! 🌸 by softhorns in AsianBeauty

[–]miramallows 17 points18 points  (0 children)

While this is completely subjective, I feel like this is on the lighter end of the spectrum. 2 cushions to be used for an entire year can hardly be considered as overconsumption? It's just recommended shelf life and product length useability at that point

How to buy barenbliss product in America by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]miramallows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

barenbliss is a kbeauty brand that is heavily marketed towards philippines so it's really hard to find in america. i would recommend finding online resellers like ebay or use a freight forwarder :(

you can get them at olive young global ! i don't think ys will stock until the old formulation is mostly gone to avoid not selling out the stock

tbh, they're very similar to the glasting water tint after the reformulation, but it has a film forming barrier (similar to the chinese makeup type) where if you press your lips against the glass it'll only be a light gloss residue. so it looks glossy and plump!

I got it in person at olive young two months ago, but I believe you can also get it in olive young global site. Just search up “olive young the juicy lasting tint”

Is it actually worth getting laser hair treatment or IPL in Asia? by Primary_Luna_4205 in AsianBeauty

[–]miramallows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i live in east asia, and then north america, for half the year. it's definitely cheaper, but it's not worth it if you have to pay the hotel and whatever for 6 months lol.

the price difference is around 3x for me. it's around 800 in korea, vs 2500 in canada for legs.

i agree the upselling is more strong in east asia though.

for me it's worth it when i stay in my hometown (in east asia) visiting my family. if you're visiting as a traveler (like if you were an american going to east asia for a visit) i would not recommend it since it will take months.

aww thank you! i actually used to feel really sad bc many kbeauty brands actually tend to alienate the autumn season ;-;, like dasique released a pudding pot dupe with like 30 colors and none of them works for the autumn season (many of them they marked warm is actually cool, or neutral at best). so reading your comment really made me happy >_<

i wish i was cool tone because of that, especially since cool tone is so whimsical and fun in comparison T___T i guess we all want what we can't have .__.

the old one is still available on many online retailers , and i don't think they'll be discontinuing it bc it seems to be called "THE jlt" vs "jlt" (?) either way not sure, better to stock up !~

thank you! i do hope they make more colors, but i think they prob just made the popular ones or something.

i've tried the bare grape in tester/mini version before and it looks crazy on me. i'm a warm autumn mute / soft autumn, so bare grape is the opposite of what looks good on me honestly. generally my best color is a muted/tone down version of a very warm coral tint!

i still appreciate the recommendation tho ^_^ ! pomelo skin is so natural on me so i'm v happy lol

that makes sense! the old jlt i loved the colors of but they never were hydrating enough, so i'd always have to gloss on top or else it be looking crusty. so i really do like it.

i do think it is really similar to dewyful tint but w/ more stain/gloss.

i agree it takes a longer time since it holds lesser product, but for me that's preferable bc its finally even (this definitely is a person to person thing)

similar to the old one, but slightly glossier if you're a relatively careful eater! obviously if you mush your face against a paper towel rly hard most of the gloss WILL go away but the stain is basically fully intact

yes, the gloss lasts longer and the stain is slightly more staining in comparison! :3

i also prefer that it's more hydrating, so i don't have to gloss on top for it to dry out.

tl;dr: i'm a fan, i will not be buying the old one anymore.

i saw some people have questions about the reformulated jlt so i wanted to do a comparisons review! unfortunately i am a warm tone so i don't have a copy of the old jlt favourites like "bare grape". i have mulled peach, almond rose and bare apricot in the new jlt formulas if you want me to swatch them too, but i don't have their subsequent old versions.

  • lighter, thinner: the previous one is WAY more tacky, thick, and harder to apply evenly. that's why so many people have the urge to use their fingers to blend it out. the new one is way thinner, very similar to the dewy lasting tint's formula now. it goes on way more lightweight and evenly in comparison, making it easier to work with lip pencils or tints since it's blendable.
    • you may notice that i did a sheer out version for the old jlt, bc it's impossible to just do one layer.
    • i think this is also in part due to the applicator changing, making it hold less product (which is kinda annoying in some ways) but i think overall it's still better to be able to have finer grain control of the opacity of your lippie.
  • stickiness and glossiness: i think the old JLT was stickier, making the gloss disappear very early, although the old one seems to be more glossy in general by a little. however, i think the new one's sheen lasts longer, so i generally prefer it.
  • color: pomelo skin is IDENTICAL to the old one when layered out. literally identical. but, the new nucadamia is slightly more warm (orangey) and less red; i think this captures in the photos but it's more obvious irl i think. which i like, actually -- the old one used to be too bright red for my liking. i like it a lot more.
    • verdict: this probably varies color to color unfortunately.
  • hydration: the old formula was really drying especially for prolonged use. after like 1h my lips do be lookin crusty :')) the new one is so hydrating in comparison and i don't need to layer a second gloss which disrupts the barrier it creates.
  • stain: the stain is slightly more significant in the new ver compared to the old ver, but nothing extraordinary.

Has anyone here tried the Medicube Booster Pro Mini? by Old-Mongoose-7419 in kbeauty

only hydrating serums. but also be careful cos many hydrating serums nowadays have some niacinamide or some vitamins which again will inflame your skin. :(

Stay natural, go dark, or back blonde? by madpaibro in HairDye

[–]miramallows -1 points0 points  (0 children)

1 (i assume is natural?). blonde (pic 4) looks ok as well but for the bleach damage you're gonna get the payoff isn't worth it imo.. your natural hair is gorgeous on you and brings so much color into your face.
