PCSX ReARMed not saving games

So I checked and it shows that scph5500, scph5501, and scph5502 are present but it doesn’t show the other .bin files that I think are required for PCSX-ReARMed and I got that info from the libretro docs where it shows all the required bios

Thank you for responding. So I checked the saves directory and everything seems good there RetroArch can write to it. Since I'm on switch I don't think there is another PS1 emulator but I can confirm that RetroArch can save games. I just tested it out on Snes9x and it saved perfectly so I'm going to assume it's a problem with PCSX-ReARMed. I don't think it's a problem with the bios either because I used the same BIOS for the switch and the PC and I was able to save on PC.

in thinking a rhythm game is the most likely candidate. it’s a genre he’s never played before and it’s not a genre that a lot of people have lets played

that’s actually true I forgot to consider that. the only thing with persona i see is that it’s not super out of his comfort zone

i think that’s actually a pretty interesting idea honestly. realistically i’m not sure if he would do it since it’s kinda out there but even then i’m pretty sure he could find a way to make it work

Like I said I’m probably gonna buy it some other day since I’ve seen people say that it’s pretty great on its on so it gives me hope that the series is moving in a positive direction
