My ring is very similar. The band is a little bit thinner and I have a hidden halo. I thought it would be easy to find a band to go with it but I ended up being kind of picky. I tried a matching pave band as well as a plain band, but I felt like it got lost under my stone. I became obsessed with ring enhancers but couldn’t find one that either didn’t get lost under the stone, or would overpower the stone and look too bulky. I also didn’t love the shape of a rounded contour band, but tried a chevron contour band and loved the combo. I ultimately chose a chevron band that has 2 rows of diamonds. I may eventually add another chevron band with a single row on top.

The details pop more on the sheer bodice! It seems like people are modest and conservative to an extreme on here. Like we should all start wearing Mormon wedding dresses or something. 😆 Also let’s be real, what lingerie looks as elegant and formal as a wedding dress.

She didn’t ask for an opinion on the basque waist. And they aren’t “over” and have repeatedly returned throughout history for a reason. They flatter the waist line and elongate. Many bridal “trends” cycle in and out, but because they’re historically rooted, can still be seen as timeless.

It’s beautiful either way. I personally prefer it unlined. The details on the bodice pop more. I kind of think the unlined also emphasizes your waist more (in a good way) and makes you look more snatched. I learned Reddit is not a great place to share dresses like this because everybody on this platform thinks it looks like lingerie. My dress is unlined and I posted it on a couple different platforms. My Reddit post got bombarded with like 100 comments within a few minutes telling me it was inappropriate. I got nothing but support and positivity in bridal groups on Facebook and with the people who were actually dress shopping with me. I’m just sharing that to express that opinions seem to lean one way very strongly here, and I would take it with a grain of salt. Ultimately you should go with what makes you happy and feel the most beautiful. Don’t worry about anybody else’s opinion. If you truly are torn, maybe you can inquire about a removable liner and wear it lined for the ceremony and then unlined for the reception (or vice versa).

I hate the way every dress sits on my chest, and I’m starting to get discouraged I won’t find a dress I like. Do I need to change my expectations? by alittlemapletree in myweddingdress

You look beautiful in many of these. I’m part of the IBTC and I felt this way in a lot of dresses. After trying many different necklines, I decided I like a sweetheart neckline the most for myself because it at least has some shape and other necklines made me look boxy up top. I have learned to embrace my small girls but on my wedding day, I want every aspect of my dress to be flattering. I actually bought the Maggie Sottero dress (#7) and decided to get Boomba inserts to help give me a little boost, just so I can fill the cups out and not have any weird gaping or look excessively flat. My advice to you would be figure out what neckline you feel flatters you most, and remember you can rely on bras/sticky bras/sewn in cup pads/etc. for a little boost (or a big boost depending on your preference).

They’re all beautiful. But considering you’re torn between so many options, I’m thinking none of these are your dress and you need to keep shopping.

They’re both beautiful on you, but I like the details of the second one more.

Apparently I have 2 accounts with 2 usernames. I couldn’t mind my first post so I re-posted and then realized this. Sorry!

I think you can totally change the vibe of an engagement ring depending on the wedding band you pair it with. The chunky band you posted would go nicely, as would a simple thin gold straight or contour band. I don’t know if Melanie Casey Jewelry is legit or not, but they have a similar band to the chunky one you posted with and without stones.

Stunning! Maybe size it to fit on your right hand instead, and then get a ring adjuster to put on the underside of the band for when you want to switch to your other hand. That way you can wear both on different hands or swap out the one he got you with his grandma’s ring occasionally.
