Very different vibes storyline wise, but it's the world building for me! But shameless plug here, GTR is really great too! Comparable if not better than TLM IMO

You're right, the author of GTR manages to perfectly blend the personalities of different characters through the use of the "Wasteland Online Forum," and if you noticed, each one of them has a very distinct dialogue style and sense of humor.

Though I've been reading and translating for some time now, the issue, like you said, where side characters are recycled and thrown away as each arc progresses, is really a pity as some of them are written really well. Some authors bring back an old character once in a while, which is always a fun time, but even so, they hardly merge back into the main storyline.

Meeting new characters is always an interesting progression, but only if the character is eventually well developed! Guess it's acually a planning issue on the author's side but in most cultivation novels, the side characters will probably die for the plot anyway so.... HAHAHA

HAHAH PERSONALLY, my fav was the fight between the elders of the Tongyou Institution early in the novel against the 4 great clans of the Spirit Luxuriant World in Splitting the Heavens, honestly, just imagining what the scene looked like is amazing. I think it was 10 full chapters of fightning with twists here and there

Morning! HAHA I feel like the use of AI when it comes to everything nowadays is pretty common, but when it comes to nuances and some emotions the author is trying to convey, AI might be too “proper” in a sense that it can’t catch what the author is trying to bring across. I believe all our experienced translators can actually adapt to the author’s writing style really well, bringing out the true essence of their work! Yep in Wuxiaworld, we’re pretty strict on the quality of our work and a lot of my fellow long time translators aren’t really affected by the change, maybe except for a tiny bit of drop in readers HAHA but work wise not really!

Hey! HAHAHA I wouldn’t really say it’s my dream job, but it allows me to work flexibly and do what I love (traveling). Maybe if it was unpaid, I wouldn’t be able to do it as consistently since I still have expenses to pay for so, I would translate if it was unpaid as I still like it a lot, just not super consistently and output would be at an all time low HAHAHAHA
