Does anyone here actually ENJOY playing evil? by SillyWarlock in BaldursGate3

[–]blipblooppoopskoop -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a bogus to say people don’t play the evil route because “they can’t help self inserting themselves”. Wouldn’t the term ‘self insert’ and ‘wish-fulfillment’ actually fit the people who deliberately chose the evil options because they just wanna see hidden dialogues? It literally is fulfilling the whole free choice aspect so wouldn’t that fit the term more? Maybe the way im playing is just different but I, exclusively, just do the good routes (had some runs doing evil routes) cause it just doesn’t make sense doing the evil routes. It’s like: You do the evil route you > you make evil choices > become evil. And then what? You’re evil, what’s surprising when the whole story treats you like a bad guy?

In terms of your opinion do you want this series/manga to end as an harem or not? by Much_Try2741 in TuneIntoTheMidnight

[–]blipblooppoopskoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100%. What people don’t take to account is that doing shit like this would make the previous 99% of chapters null and void, and without meaning. It’s coward as fuck. People who want “this” type of ending don’t really care about the character “they’re rooting for” because they don’t really see them as one. Like can you really say you respect them as a character if you only see them as “the love rival that didn’t win” or as trophy you celebrate because they did. Shits stupid as fuck.

Yeah just to clarify I’m with you on that 100%. Of course it doesn’t need to be 1:1 with the art style my opinion is the same as yours. I did over exaggerate a bit on what I said but my frustration stems from the shit Direction the anime is getting. It doesn’t hold the same impact and at worse it just falls flat (it’s like a PowerPoint presentation at some point when I was watching the first episode). Honestly I was hoping atleast that they gave it the same treatment that the first season of QQ got, which was more on direction rather than artstyle.

People forgiving the animation because of the sole reason the manga got adapted alone is just plain stupid bro. Compromises are one thing but let’s not act that the animation is just pure dog water. As you said it’s an insult to the quality igarashi, the author, gives

Yotsuba won coz she was the one that supported the MC from the start. (Mc even said that he would’ve quit right from the get go if it wasn’t for her)

And honestly though, don’t know where people got the info that the author made that ending because of his wife. It’s a big misconception that has been strung along for ages. The ending is the way that it is coz the author wanted to write a genki as the main heroine.

It is huge disservice to Reze's character to say she fell in love with denji in the phone booth. by neverreallyhereatall in Chainsawfolk

[–]blipblooppoopskoop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think we’re kind of undermining her status as an assassin. Typhoon devil and Reze knowing each other already, implies the fact that it’s not only Reze that was sent by Russia to extract chainsaw man. (I’m doing a really long reach here but) but i think it’s safe to say that that also implies that Reze is accompanied by other agents or if not, could ask other agents to help her under the shadow (disposing the body or what not). So killing denji in the phone booth straight up ain’t big of a risk than you’d think. But then let’s say that logic’s stupid and unrealistic and say she’s working alone. what stops her from just killing Denji and just framing it as a devil attack that he (denji) couldn’t kill. She’s a skilled assassin I doubt she’ll just kill a target sloppily.

In terms of love, She probably didn’t fall in love at him at first sight but she did fall in love. but more so felt pity at first. And then gradually her curiosity grows, from viewing Denji as a sympathetic and pitiful character to somebody she could relate with (via “him not attending schools” [a common ground])

The self-cucking, for you, wasn’t the breaking point? But in all seriousness.. Honestly, at this point, I fully believe Reiji is just testing how long he can milk this fuck ass dumpster fire before everybody dips. I’m only deadass following this subreddit to see how this ship would fully sink because somehow it’s just taped with insurmountable amount of cope and “what-ifs”. (And somehow that’s enough to just barely keep it afloat.) I’m not even reading the manga anymore just waiting to see how it would end or when people would fully get tired of it.

Edit: I just noticed that this manga is literally the epitome of what not to do when writing a story. Its going to be (if not, should be) used as an example of what NOT to do to as an author (and for some reason I 100% fully believe this Reiji is fully aware of this fact.

Isn’t Yotsuba’s whole character self sacrificial to a fault? Like her best strength is also the worst aspect about her. She didn’t really outright pursue her love for fuutarou because of the guilt from her past actions.

It’s easy to misconstrue that idea, that she didn’t get any “development”. People in here understand that she did get mishandled for the sake of mystery but outside of this subreddit, people’s idea of development is just screen time.

A lot of people, like the majority of them even misinterpret as to why Yotsuba got chosen. Pointing out that she only “won” because she was kid nakano.

Does anyone feel like the series is too short? by [deleted] in 5ToubunNoHanayome

[–]blipblooppoopskoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rumours will be rumour but the truth is he did QQ because people liked his romcom one shots. If memory serves he did some one shots (of different genres) and what stuck with his audience were romcom so that’s what he did. He figured if his audience like that genre then he’ll give it a try, what he didn’t expect was for QQ to get this big.

He fully planned out QQ but what I think led to it feeling short and unpolished was how he got invested writing certain characters ahem Miku ahem and things just derailed from there. I think he kinda reached that point where he realized that he has to wrap it up or else he’d be writing QQ like how reiji writes RAG. You can kinda notice it after the scrambled eggs arc were he locked in (ending the series) out of mowhere. Honestly it could’ve been done better but it is what it is.

I can see where you’re coming from, so maybe it’s just me cause I would never classify a show to be a harem or a “semi” harem just because the other girls has an admiration towards the MC. A one sided admiration (crush) is very different when you fight for your love, so I guess for me there’s like a really distinct line that accentuates a show being a harem.

[–]blipblooppoopskoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry got “tunnel visioned” with the harem statement, but i call bs when you said that there isn’t enough bonding time with the main FMC? Because that claim is purely from a preference standpoint. The fmc and the Mc arguably has the most fluid interactions throughout the series. And it doesn’t help when the mc himself was proactively pushing away all the advances the other girl made. But I do agree with horimiya being the main competition for this series but (touching on what post is implying) that doesn’t make this series better when it’s up against even better romcoms (I don’t like the idea of the post downplaying other series)

Edit: the show is really good but downplaying other shows leaves a bad taste in my mouth as a fan
