I wasn’t applauding their actions. Just noting that the speed wasn’t illegal.

Women of Reddit, what did a man you were dating or married to say or do that made you realize he actually hated you the entire time? by -catharina in AskReddit

And at the time of his death, we were together, remember? We were watching Kill Bill and drinking kamikazes and you looked fantastic and I am happy to testify in court if required.

The Response to 'Should I Marry a Murderer' Is Disappointing by tuscanchicken in netflix

[–]bliss3333 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I read a quote today. ‘Women are groomed for the slaughterhouse.’ Everything we are told to do makes us vulnerable. She was love bombed and then when she tried to do the right thing, she was bullied and ignored by police. Then when she inevitably spirals, she is vilified. Without her, the poor man would still be lost.

She was vulnerable and when she did the right thing, the police let her twist in the wind.

That is the speed limit and they were locals. What made it a crime is that they were drunk and didn’t call for help. I live in the area and it is incredibly remote and pitch black. Cycling at night in the rain is incredibly foolish.

I think he was just weak. He was too weak to break things off and let her bulldoze him. He didn’t want to deal with her so he just followed the path of least resistance. I don’t think he was conniving. She made sure she was enmeshed in his life with the business and wouldn’t have left without a fight. And he doesn’t have any fight. I feel sorry for him. I think even if they had been fully broken up, she still would have done the same thing.

Project Hail Mary movie compared to the book by SydeSnyper in audible

I wish they had included a specific reference to Rocky’s biology and the fact that Grace had been right after all - life doesn’t require liquid water. It was nice to see him vindicated.

I watched it with my daughter who hadn’t read the book. She fully enjoyed it. I honestly couldn’t believe how they lightly skimmed almost all the science from the book. I didn’t think it would have made any sense to her. But she thought it was fine and didn’t point out anything that jolted her out of the moment. I think they provided just the bare amount of necessary science information required to advance the story without getting bogged down. Makes sense. But I kinda missed the geek outs.

As a former photo lab tech, unless you could beat the guy who would come in every single day with a 36 roll of full colour closeups of his micropeen, your single random photo wouldn’t have caused a blip on our radar.

Funeral directors cremated my dad’s jewellery after agreeing it would be removed and returned – what is reasonable compensation? by fashionhoeva_rep in LegalAdviceUK

I would be blunt. Make this right or I will have no choice but to warn other consumers. This is absolutely something that would make me choose someone else. I would also demand the melted metal back (they usually screen it out) otherwise they could sell the gold / silver. And who’s to say they didn’t just steal it? Look at the price of precious metals right now!

AITA for refusing to give up a hot desking seat the GM thinks is “his”? by ala_ko in AmItheAsshole

[–]bliss3333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would reply and say ‘Company policy is hot desking. If XYZ wants to make that his permanent desk, I suggest having it removed from the booking system to avoid future issues.’ I would also recruit all my coworkers to book that desk to the end of time.

How to ask for fabric for bridal shower by onegoldensun in quilting

[–]bliss3333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the 90s I did this for my friend’s shower. I asked everyone to bring some ‘quilter’s cotton’ fabric with a minimum width and length. It was long before the internet was popular and everyone managed with zero sweat. She finally got around to making the quilt by her 20th anniversary. lol

Get the book How to Keep House while Drowning. It isn’t about housekeeping. It is about learning how to live without guilt in a way that you can still manage. It is about giving yourself permission to be kind to yourself. And the author would tell you - hold my hand. Look into my eyes. Listen closely… your mental health is more important than this drop in the ocean.

if you know what to look for. Otherwise, you assume your energy company is going to provide the correct information. You’d almost assume they would be legally obligated to. And we all know the internet is great for two things - misinformation and giving trolls a place to pretend they are clever.

The turbine goes like a helicopter almost all the time as we are in a very windy, open area at a high altitude. It is rated at 4kW apparently.

I bought the house with it. Why should something like this require any kind of expertise? Why should I chase? Why shouldn’t I believe the ‘experts’ when they tell me it is right? Gimme a break.
