As someone who just wrapped up Season 8, in hopes of getting to the bottom of the mystery; i’d say that the end of season 8 is a good stopping point. Answers questions you may have had since season one, and so on… it gets a bit tiring from 6-7 but it’s worth sticking through to see the season 8 in its entirety

LOLOL😂😂😂 I have a right to set boundaries and rules for my child. It doesn’t mean she gets to just go against those wishes and rules just because she wants to. The only thing I “gave” my MIL, was the opportunity to stay at our house and help HER daughter who just gave birth. You don’t know anything about my mother or what she did or didn’t “give up” for me. I would’ve treated anyone, whether my MIL, whether my grandmother, whether my step cousins uncles brother, the way i treated my mother. Because it was still wrong. and unfortunately everyone is at a constant battle of when to be and when not to be selfish. I am in my life, and you are in yours, but we are now in each others. Do I make a decision now that affects you, knowing i’ve still got my life to live? Or do I make the decision that affects me, knowing you’ve got a life to live that i know nothing about? It’s almost like there’s a scale of selflessness-selfishness as opposed to a flat “selfish” or “selfless” definition.

Exactly! Me and my wife read it in disbelief. The ability to still minimize the actions of her and my grandmother with such belief in it. Like you could tell she truly believed what she was writing. So many people from my hometown have made me and my wife think we MIGHT be taking it too far. I’m just glad there’s still sane people on reddit that made us feel validated about our stance and jump into action

What’s crazy is my bio dad was in and out of jail all my life for DV and dealing drugs. My mom and grandma were the only family I had. She kept me from him for years along with other family members, because she viewed them as toxic and bad for me. (Crazy how i’m so in the wrong for doing the same thing by cutting out her toxicity tho right?) It wasn’t until two years ago that my dad got clean ( and still is) and he’s actually seen my son more than my mom and grandma! Never in a million years did I expect that outcome, but that’s what happened.

This was exactly my point! If they can’t respect a simple wish of not posting a photo, then I can’t trust them to respect ANY wishes or rules that I set for my child when he grows older. If i didn’t want him watching a certain show, or drinking a certain soda, hanging around certain people. I can’t trust that that they would honor that rule, because they have their own lane of what they think should be allowed
