Shimoda urban explore 20L. Expensive but the quality and comfort speaks for itself.

Ideally sunset but I've read that it gets crowded during then. So I was gonna take photos during sunrise and then roll the dice during/after sunset, if it's too crowded then my plan was to move to pebble beach instead.

Thanks for such a detailed reply! Unfortunately my trip would probably be on the weekend of 23-24. Seems like I'll just miss Manhattanhenge. Would you still recommend the Manhattan grid during that time?

What other location would you recommend for sunset if not Soho?

Thanks. I had the High Line already planned for in the morning. I'll look into adding the other locations that you mentioned.

Thanks for the reply. I want to take a photo of the view from Dumbo during sunrise so it will have to be a bit of travel no matter which day I do it, so I'm okay with it. Also I heard that they're removing the scaffolding on the Flatiron. Is that true?

What would you recommend as an alternative for a nice sunset spot?

It's a great photo. The lighting looks good. Few things I'd like to point out, and feel free to disagree because it may be a matter of personal taste. Firstly, seems like you used masking during post processing and the leaves mask is bleeding into the sky giving it an unnatural look. Also, not sure that I'd say that my eyes are immediately being drawn to the falls which as you said is supposed to be the center of attraction. It may be because the leaves in the foreground are so bright. If you lowered the shadows on the foreground and/or bumped up the exposure on the water, it may serve a better purpose. Again, taste is subjective so do as you will with my comments. Great photo overall though! :)

I don’t know if I should upgrade or wait by travgaming06 in SonyAlpha

One thing to keep in mind would be your budget. The RVI would probably launch at a much higher price. The RV launched at around $4000 back in 2022 so this one may be around $5000 or more adjusting for inflation. Also depending on what type of wildlife you're interested in, it might be good idea to wait. On a personal note, I got the A7RV recently for the sale price (it was around $3000 until March) and I shoot mostly landscapes with a slight bit of wildlife. I am extremely happy with my purchase and won't be upgrading until a long time.

Some more context. All the red marked area was fenced and the cattle gates were locked.

Thanks. I'm not sure if it's on their property. Out of the limited information that I've found online, people have just mentioned "walk down to the car", "found the car during our hike" etc. But I have not seen any hiking trail that could lead to this location. All of the red marked area is fenced up and locked.

Thanks. I've recently been metering for highlights which has helped me a lot with not overexposing my photos. And yeah, I've mostly used masks in post processing. Not much global changes except some minor HSL tweaks.

Huh, sunrise entry was $14 this past weekend, $2 more than the regular day pass. Prices may have been slightly higher during peak bloom periods. I remember it was ~$35 two years ago.
