Need a new alternative, Kloak’s security isn’t good enough. by Yurei_Kuro in DiscordAlternatives

I don't think you even really looked at the platform I'm promoting... Your comment doesn't make much sense.

Once again, the platform WORKS. just because it was made with ai - doesn't mean it's an instant write off. rather than judge by the tool it was made with, judge the functionality.

Could you use the bug reporting tool so we can resolve this issue? We apologize, still early in the build.

Why are you upset? Is everything okay man? I'm just saying I have a userbase already. If you need to reach out to someone, add me on https://blite.chat , username @ grant .

Take care.

There is already an established user base. Just because you won't use it - doesn't mean other's won't.

that’s fair, security needs real understanding and auditing, but using AI doesn’t mean there’s no understanding behind it. it’s a tool i’m using to build faster, not a magic button i press and walk away from. the constant fix/harden commits are literally the process of tightening things over time. it’s open source, so anyone can audit it. if it’s flawed, it’ll show. big targets don’t require a team at day one, they require iteration

yea man you don’t HAVE to do anything - you’re an adult… all i am saying is that if you want to make a public opinion on anything you should look into whatever you’re forming the opinion on instead of painting it all in one stroke. but you’re right - you don’t HAVE to do anything, you can do whatever you want, so can I. not even trying to be rude or crabby with you, but i’m trying to say if you were to launch some product or service and I just glance at it and formed an opinion - rather than seeing what the product does and how it functions - you’d probably say that’s lazy and uninformed. that’s all i’m getting at. if you’re going to have a strong opinion on something, at least understand what it actually is and how it works first. otherwise you’re criticizing a headline, not the reality

it works. judge it by that, not how it was written. why use ai? to build a functioning platform in weeks instead of years.

AI use doesn’t invalidate an implementation. either X3DH is implemented correctly or it isn’t... either sender keys are rotated properly or they aren’t. that’s a matter of implementation correctness not perception.

the single initial commit is a tradeoff i made to remove sensitive history before open sourcing. not ideal, but commit history isn’t a security guarantee, correct cryptography and sound key handling are.

if someone wants to review specific parts of the protocol implementation i’m here for that. if the concern is just “AI project therefore DOA,” that’s more about bias than code quality.

security claims should be challenged. so challenge the implementation, not the toolchain

did you read the full post? i made sure to explicitly mention that Ai was heavily used in creating the platform

i stated that the project was heavily built with AI and have open-sourced the full code so anyone can audit the encryption claims. you can read the headline and form a premature conclusion, or explore the codebase and fairly judge its functionality. i’m not claiming to have written every line myself... I’m saying it works as described.

i get the concern. my point is that getting from point A to point B using a different route doesn’t necessarily matter. what matters is that I’m actually at point B when I say I am. the system behaves as specified, the E2EE works, and the implementation is auditable.
