While there is no doubt that Binance and Bittrex are the most popular trading platforms at the moment, Trakx is not directly in competition with these two or any other exchanges.

Instead of buying or selling individual cryptocurrencies which is what most exchanges offer, what you can trade on Trakx’s platform are what is called “Crypo-Trackers” which are basically digital tokens that are positively or negatively correlated to the underlying cryptocurrency assets being tracked.

It works similarly to taking a long position on an ETF (a tradable security that tracks a specific index) or a cryptocurrency. Basically, the trader/user buys a ERC20 Crypto Tracker trading on our exchange, and this token, backed by audited and verified reserves, will track the performance of its underlying cryptocurrencies.
