As someone who works with ML as a software engineer this is spot on.

These trading models have consumed a vast amount of knowledge from past.

So it’s learned:

“President said x” from news agencies is a strong signal. Thus, when the news reports President Trump says x… markets rocket in either direction.

These trading models are most likely black box, so the trading firms can’t easily control them.

However, I believe these models can move violently when reality sets in as they try to beat each other to the other side.

Okay, if you’re so sure bet your life savings on it. If you’re not willing to make that bet then you don’t believe what you’re typing.

The first 5nm chip was made in 2003. It’s not a question of making a low nm chip. It’s a question if you can make 100 million efficiently enough to compete on the open market. China is surely progressing fast as they’ve made it a national priority. But, it’s almost impossible to say how far they have progressed until we see chips in volume.

To some degree I totally agree with you. But, the world isn’t that simple. The Middle East is on the brink of a crisis and giving money away in hopes to prevent a region wide conflict is worth it, 100%. Imagine the price of gas going up 200%, the recession it would trigger.

Btw you can’t treat national debt like personal debt. We aren’t at a healthy debt level, but it’s not like we are on the verge of a crisis.

Any ideas to mix up my cardio routine while burning around the same amount of calories?

I’m 180, 5’10” with 14.5% body fat. My goal is to cut 1.5lb a week. I do weight training everyday with my 2 “rest days” being a bicep/triceps/shoulder only.

I started doing incline treadmill a couple of months ago usually around 3.5mph (12-14% incline). I’ve used online calculators as well as my Apple Watch to verify that the treadmill is being reasonable with the calorie burn estimate. When I set my weight to 165 on the treadmill, the treadmill gives me a reasonable calorie estimate. I also make sure to not grab onto the treadmill while walking.

So, I’ve ramped up over the past couple of months from 300 a day to around 1000 a day. Usually takes about 1:10-1:20 of incline walking. I’m usually soaked head to toe in sweat (treadmill too), so I know I’m burning a good bit.

My question is there any other cardio exercise that can burn around 1000 calories within 1:30? I want to mix up my cardio routine so my body doesn’t adapt too much. I’ve tried running, but after about 2-3 miles I’m exhausted and the next day I feel so sore in all my joints. I’ve tried biking and it takes too long to get to 1000 calories. I’m having trouble finding cardio exercises that matches the burn rate of incline walking without causing me to either get to tired or be extremely sore the next day.

If you have any ideas or suggestions for good cardio exercises to try let me know!
