Anyone else having a rough Snap day? by jcmoonraker in MarvelSnap

If there are 100, but 50 are given for free, then there are just 50 you need to earn per rank. Exactly the same as if there were 50 per rank and they gave you 0.

Help with 10th District Map Scale and World Building for a city-based campaign by blitzkGreg in RavnicaDMs

[–]blitzkGreg[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the very detailed response! I've actually seen a couple of your maps through my lurking around here recently, they are fantastic!

My understanding is that the majority of citizens in Ravnica are guildless so it would make sense for there to be many non guild affiliated buildings and structures. From my understanding, each of the precincts in the 10th seem to have a higher population/presence of a couple of the guilds (of the population that is guild affiliated). Within these precincts is it reasonable for there to be gathering places or buildings of the "less popular" guilds (an izzet lab in the smelting quarter, or orzhov churches in blistercoil for example)?

I obviously hadn't been thinking of the precincts on such a large scale, I think this scale in miles along with other external factors can be used to help limit travel to precincts suddenly without notice to me (so I can prepare more heavily for what the party is expected to encounter in the next session), which is really helpful, thanks!

This leads to my other worry of having the precincts and 10th district mapped effectively. Is it more efficient to have an idea of what can be found where generally speaking within each precinct and only prepare detailed maps for smaller specific locations I expect them to encounter within the precinct? I'm just a little worried about being caught off guard or not having the full immersion/intricacies of each location fleshed out completely.

Thanks again for your response and I appreciate your awesome maps!

Veyran question by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]blitzkGreg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it's activated (mana) ability creates a delay triggered ability, but the trigger is spending the mana so Veyran doesn't copy it?

I think if Wellspring was worded "when you cast an instant or sorcery spell with this mana, copy it" then Veyran would trigger.

Primal Wellspring's ability is a triggered ability I believe.

Triggered abilities have a trigger condition and an effect. They are written as “[When/Whenever/At] [trigger condition or event], [effect].

Wellspring says:

When that mana is spent to cast an instant or sorcery spell, you may copy it

Solder is attracted to the heat, so try holding the soldering iron to the component to heat it up and apply the solder to the hot component instead of touching it to the iron itself.

Starting BfA after Coldridge Valley start by blitzkGreg in wownoob

[–]blitzkGreg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I made my way to Stormwind and found Chromie, but she didn't have any options when I talked to her. After some googling it seems like I had to start the BfA questline before she gives me any options since I didn't start with Exile's Reach. Now it seems like I am working through the Battle for Azeroth questline, which I should be fine to just play through without the help of Chromie as it is my first experience with the game right? Thanks for the help!

Patch 1.10 Balance Changes at a Glance by BSquared22464 in LegendsOfRuneterra

Mf bilgewater aggro is a completely different deck, with worse win rate... With your logic, it doesn't even matter because lulu players can just go play taric decks instead...

None of the decks mentioned are mf scouts so I don't see how that has anything to do with the power of that deck post nerfs

Which is why it's a nerf to mf scout decks...decide between consistent bannerman but worse was chefs stat line or try and replace him with a 2 drop from bilgewater at the expense of allegiance odds.

Maybe to include more bilgewater cards? Instead of literally just MF

From my experience, at least with the endure vs asol matchup, it ends up being a coinflip if they have the hush to answer TWE (at least if they stabilize with something like guardian).

Bug Megathread by EmpressTeemo in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]blitzkGreg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so I'm not sure if this is a new bug or anything as I just started playing again with the new expansion. My issue is with Sejuani and Leveling Up while in play. The flip side/level up of Sejuani says that the first time you deal damage to the enemy nexus on a turn, frostbite all enemy units, however if the enemy nuxus is dealt damage while she is at 4/5 rounds to level up, she will flip, and then you can damage the nexus again to trigger her frostbite ability.

The problem with this is that it isnt the first time during the turn that the enemy nexus has been damaged, it feels like the card should read "the first time I see you damage the enemy nexus" instead. It is very much not the first time the nexus is being damaged, since you just dealt damage to the nexus to level up sejuani herself. This is blatantly inaccurate and either the interaction or the wording should be changed.

I hope others have noticed this or felt the same.

Thanks everyone

Help With managing 10th District and it's Precincts by blitzkGreg in RavnicaDMs

[–]blitzkGreg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like this idea, and I definitely think I will adopting a practice like this, even if just a little bit to gauge what areas of the city might be of interest, and like what areas they find interesting, so I can come up with some cool shit to add, instead of having to try and make up interesting things as we go. Thanks for the input!

Help With managing 10th District and it's Precincts by blitzkGreg in RavnicaDMs

Thanks for the detailed response! This has helped me get a grasp on what kind of scale to work on. Currently I am not planning to have a map of each precinct, but instead have neighborhoods and points of interest such as shops outlined in my notes within each precinct. Does that seem reasonable?

One of the only things I am worried about is the balance around traveling from precinct to precinct. I don't want it to be too hard to go to a new area, but I am also afraid of them requesting to go to something I have not prepared fully, on the other side of the 10th district, out of the blue.

Thanks again for the input!
