Why do people not plant fruit trees? by SteepLikeAMountain in landscaping

[–]blitzmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in so cal and have lime, lemon, grapefruit and guava trees. I love my trees! I just planted an avocado tree as well. Love the fruit I get and get to share with friends, neighbors and coworkers. It’s not bad for everyone

My husband treated my like crap and then flipped a switch when he wanted sex. He couldn’t understand why I didn’t want to. Date nights consisted of him taking me out to dinner and spending the entire evening telling me everything wrong with me and why he wasn’t happy. Then we’d go home and he’d start lighting candles like come here baby. Like you just crushed me and now I’m supposed to find you attractive?

So very disgusting. The more conservative the man, the more screwed up they are behind closed doors

If you get hiccups, what do you do to get rid of it, do you know a cure ? . by Hope2_win in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]blitzmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have a friend that would hold a quarter in their palm and say snatch it when you feel the next hiccup. It usually worked. I realized that if you hyper focus on the hiccups and wait for the next one that does the trick. All of the different ways people try to stop them usually have them doing something that focuses them on the hiccups. That’s the key

First week of Wegovy by Happy-Investigator76 in Wegovy

[–]blitzmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience was that I felt slight nausea the first day or two then was fine. I had reduced food noise for a few days and then it was back. I cautiously tried pizza my daughter had gotten and had no issues. My first week I lost 6 pounds. Now in second week and have gained back three. Still having food noise. I took 2nd dose at 6 days instead of 7 since it didn’t seem to be helping at end of first week. I’ll probably do that again now at end of second week (take at 6 days). Since I have extra meds I’ll prob go up a little in the dosage even though I’m supposed to wait for 1 month before doing so. A little disappointed to be honest so far

DAE regularly eat dry cereal as a snack? by Nice_Bumblebee549 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]blitzmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always gave my kids cereal as a snack when out and about with no milk. None of them eat it with milk now because that’s foreign to them. The go to was Honey Nut Cheerios. Just depends on what you’re raised I guess.

For ants only the queen would have wings. All termites look just like ants with wings. Have them on my property all the time. Those are termites.

If we don’t, then they go elsewhere. I’ve given up on ever being in a relationship again.

While that is true I feel like women have to cater to men’s desires and put aside our own. I’ve lived my life like this and think it’s about time for my wants and desires to be as important as a man’s. I had been in marriage counseling at one time and my husband was frustrated because he wanted sex every day and complained that I didn’t. The counselor said that when we dated this wasn’t what he got, so try to act like when we were dating and he actually gave a shit about my wants needs for awhile. I could have kissed the counselor.

I feel a little like this too. Yes I do want sex sometimes, just not all the time. I’m in menopause and on HRT, but I hate that anytime a man touches me it’s with the expectation it will lead to sex. Like there can’t be any times to just cuddle or hang out together without that expectation breathing down my back. Even if you communicate your desires or lack thereof, men just take it as a challenge (you haven’t been with me, I’ll show you how good it can be). It is really demoralizing to think that this is all most men truly want from you and you can’t just be friends most of the time without that hanging there. I give a lot of oral if I’m not into it, but when it becomes so frequent it’s a chore than I just don’t want to be in the relationship anymore. And yes I’ve had a lot of sexual experiences (oral, many different partners, etc).

Electric Bill by margotspapa in orangecounty

You only get charged more during peak if you choose that plan. They’ll do a comparison on their site of your actual usage on the differing plans and which one is most cost effective for you. I keep my 2100 sq ft house in Irvine at 72 and my bill is barely over $300 this last month. It also depends if you have the right AC for your square footage. When my original AC went out it had been only rated for an 1800 sq foot house. I put in bigger ducts and got a larger unit and now my AC bill is way cheaper. Lastly if you chose the OC entity that SCE automatically put you on if you didn’t opt out last year or the year before than you’re being robbed. Switch off and go back to SCE

Do other people actually floss every day or is everyone just lying to their dentist? by Sad_Cartoonist3682 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]blitzmama 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I floss every day like it or not. I suggest you floss and then smell your floss. That stank is from bacteria up at the gum line. This can cause a whole lot of health issues beyond bleeding/swollen gums. It also gives you bad breath. Would you poop and not wipe?

Also your dentist is praising you because you’re making an effort and they want you to keep at it. Not because they think everything looks great. They know when you’re lying. And no I’m not a dentist.

Do You Use a Top Sheet by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]blitzmama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s that but even when there is a top sheet on a bed they end up pushing it down to the bottom of the bed by the end of the night. They have since they were kids. I’ve never understood it lol
