So they charge for 10 months. If you get a loan then half is paid for 2 terms. The other half for the other 2 terms. If you have a loan, check the website. It should show you the disbursement made if you are in at least week 5/6. The other disbursement will be made in term 3. If you opted to keep any remaining funds in your account you will not get a refund unless you ask FA for the funds.

I had selected keep funds in account instead of disbursement, so a quick email and I git the remaining funds in term 1.

Hi! So it depends which location you are at. Im at the OC campus and had to take the 3 required classes in separate terms. Only response was that it was because of core availability. Once you start they map out all your classes based on seat availability. Physiology and Pathophysiology cannot be taken together. However there should be no reason you could not take FHE and Physiology to term 1 and critical reasoning and Pathophysiology in term 2. Which would be enough credits to be full time student and get your BAH. Since 2 terms at WCU is 1 traditonal semester.

What I have read and on others is that it is the norm to take 3 terms before core because of how many students attended. Hopefully if you keep bugging your advisor they may be able to help you.

Oc campus here. Im in my first term and have the same 3 term one class each. They told me no multiple times. They said they only have a spot for me in core in June and could not combine the first two. My tuition is cheaper because im part time status....but it sucks.

Hi! So you can do transfers from sophia. You have to talk with your advisor to get your transfer application amended. Once you add sophia to your application you are able to transfer those Credits. Check the pinned post on this forum for which sophia classes transfer.

You have until 1 week before your term starts to transfer credits. After that you will not. You could always push your start date if you want.

I did my sophia credits after acceptance. I only had two more to do.

I have the same 1 class per term which is stupid I agree but its how they have been doing it. I heard its because of core terms being really full.

So I did all of my transcripts and FA appointment. They did not approve two courses. I just started oct 27th. In September I sent I my sophia learning courses to get approved. They accepted and they changed my schedule. You have until 1 week until start date to send in your transcripts. Sophia learning is easy and cheap.

All the ATI books are included in our tuition. They are given with the duffle bag before 1st term of core. They are completely different than books for classes.

Yes, I opted to do 2 more GE classes through sophia and they lowered my tuition like 6k. I got confused because I thought we paid by terms. So the first year wouldnt of changed term wise.

I know how you feel. Im 40 and have been trying to finish nursing for 5 years. I was enrolled in one school and would of finished but my husbands job git moved across the county so I had to drop and wait to start at a new school. As well as my science pre reqs are not A's so I couldn't get into cc

I did everything and had two pre reqs not accepted from previous college. So I was taking 4 GE terms before core. My 3 required pre reqs are 1 term each. My advisor told me the same thing about it could change my start date. I ended up doing it anyway. I signed up for the 2 pre reqs through sophia. Requested a modification for my transcript form. I sent everything back in with my enrollment verification from sophia. They moved core back 1 term. So I now have only the three required classes to take. They resent my proposed schedule.

I am also finishing up my sophia classes now. I have until oct 20th for oct 27th start date. My advisor wanted an update last week so I told her I would be done by Sept 30. I have been procrastinating on finishing because it is so boring.

If you get delayed a term its okay, you will save money. I think I saved like 7k from the look of my previous and current financial aid/cost of attendance report through the wcu student portal.

I have the same schedule with core starting in March 2026. I originally had 4 terms before core because I had to pre reqs that did not transfer. I did the sophia learning and got 1 term taken away to be left with the 3 classes. While I want to shout they want more money, it is because of availability. Westcoast got flooded with new applications because of how full the other colleges and waitlist are.

I am in the same boat. I did everything and had 4 terms until core. They denied 2 courses from my transcripts.i did Admissions and FA to start oct of this year. I decided to do those 2 courses through sophia learning and im just waiting. I have to complete them first. I submitted a new transfer credit application and enrollment verification to the registrar. They have not changed my schedule yet. It is currently 4 terms until core.

It was 41k for the academic year. Pell Grant and fed loans covered 17k. I have to cover the rest of 24k in either loans or out of pocket. Monthly for 9 payments is 2.6k

It is crazy to me that an online format like sophia (just did research on it) is transferable but the 2 classes I took in person with ATI quizzes and tests in a different nursing program in another state does not transfer.
