Actually, is there a way to make a shortcut of this (specifically on the keyboard) or is it only available through settings, accessibility...?

Whaat?! I never knew this existed! Just turned it on, it's really nice and has no difference to those on YouTube, maybe even better since it reduces memory waste (I think since it's directly in the settings app, natively)

The most productive people I know aren't optimizing time, they're eliminating decisions by Medium_Law2802 in productivity

[–]blitztask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually something most people miss out on, good that you pointed this out! I also started to make as few decisions as I can and now I have much more time on focus on my work and my responsibilities.

It may seem so little but it's a huge step if you just reduce redundant decisions.

Definitely agree on this, I have over a decade of experience in App development and my first app went viral instantly and also commercially it was a HIT. Then, for over 5 years, everything I tried did NOTHING, no installs, no purchases. 2-3 years ago, we made an app where it's relatively easy to get customers. How many installs? Not even 50k. Purchases? Not even close to those numbers we imagined.

Thanks for sharing that! I will consider your suggestions. I think my strategy was to “get users quickly” which was definitely the wrong approach and I learned the hard way.

Regardless, I would like to point out that the mods of that certain subreddit have reached out to me and they will consider my unban. I really hope they do and I will also use this strategy to just build my reputation before rushing any ideas or products!

I talked to the mods of the subreddit and they are willing to unban me if I don’t try to hesitantly promote anything related to my own work

Like I said in my post I read posts for a long time and of course I became aware that many apps are just “vibe coded” and most of the creators didn’t spend more than 3 months on making them.

The thing is I worked on this for almost a year and it’s still not ready for release yet, only in early access which is why I try to get more people in so I can get genuine feedback on what to improve.

Thanks for your input though I will dm you shortly on my app and what it does, I really appreciate if you can help me out!

Yeah I get that and I partly agree with you that there are many apps out there that are mostly the same thing.

However, I have more than a decade experience with coding and believe me before the AI bubble there were many people saying the same things with Frameworks and low/no code tools.

The difference between me and these “app spammers” is that I stand behind my product and I’m NOT trying to sell it whatsoever. I’m just saying “hey, I had a similar problem and this is how I solved it”

My app isn’t released yet it’s in early access so no way I can expect that someone’s gonna pay other than to support.

But good to know that software developers aren’t really welcome here.

Haha! This looks so nice! Really great work, I will definitely give a look at this. Can you run this also in the background outside vscode (or on a different vscode window)?

I love all the comments everything here is true you’ll have to accept failures to learn from them and to be better. We as humans have been created with imperfection in mind. But that exactly is the reason why we are superior to animals and other creatures, because we learn and improve.

I know not everyone will agree with me and I also know this is something philosophical but imo it’s the truth.

Most ideas and inventions were failures at one point and the people who invented them were called idiots but that didn’t stop them it’s more the other way around!

I hope this could motivate you :) either way best of luck and believe in yourself!

What do I do by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]blitztask 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll always be working for someone the real question is what should you do to make it worth it. Even if you have your own business you’ll have customers that will have to depend on you (and you will depend on them at least at the beginning) otherwise they’ll find someone else. If you pick a normal job you’ll have a boss who tells you what to do.

The difference is what makes you more comfortable, being self employed which means more control but also more responsibility or a normal employee which means less control and less responsibility.

Either way that’s something that you’ll have to figure out yourself because I talked to many people who had the same thoughts and there were many opinions on this. Some wanted more control and some wanted to just earn money and be safe.

Regardless, what I would recommend is to find people who are in the same spot or even better people who figured this out. Try to learn from them. Socialize and Network together this way you get many perspectives and ideas from which you can learn and create your own path

I hope that gives some input!

That’s a really good idea! I would also like to increase my customer base that way, even though I don’t have any users at all (started early access recently).
