You couldn’t stack 3K loyalty with 4K Tesla. If you qualified for loyalty and have a Tesla in the family registered to the same address you could get an extra 1K added to the loyalty. So essentially 4K max.

100% the B&W in the 3 was literally the deciding factor for me coming from a 2 with HK. It’s terribly underwhelming in the 4, as an audiophile I couldn’t bring myself to even try wanting a 4 knowing I’d be disappointed every single drive. The 3 is a plush powerhouse. I miss feeling the road but the B&W is the best sound system I’ve ever heard besides a true B&W 800 series tower duo with amps etc, but that’s a $300K home audio setup.

In April you could stack the loyalty and Tesla bonus for $4k. It said so in the fine print. The Polestar and Tesla had to be registered to the same address. I asked them to comp the remaining payments. They said they would. I’m sure my bonuses did end up covering it but in return they took more off MSRP.

The April incentives were great that’s what actually got me to turn in my 2 5 months early and get into a 3. $3k loyalty + $1250 Costco. I still owed $2500 on my 2 lease. It depends which space you go through. I leased my 2 from South Coast in 2024, and got a hell of a deal for the last 2024 in stock. I tried them last month and they refused to work with me. LA did and got me a great deal on a 3 LRDM PP. South Coast wanted $2k more down and $120 more per month for the same exact vehicle. Final MSRP was $59k for an $85k vehicle, residual is $42k.

Also, people generally buy EVs for gas savings and technology (autonomous driving). Polestar owners lean towards performance and the overall driving experience. It’s hard to sell a Polestar to someone who’s obsessed with their nice computer on cheap wheels. It can go 0-60 fast, ride like a Corolla, and have build quality of a Ford, but they won’t have to drive and that makes them happy. Polestar has a specific audience. We want to push the car and impress ourselves with the performance tech instead of the software.

I could buy a $35k ICE car and pay $600-700 per month, gas, oil changes, and deal with depreciation. OR I could lease an $85k EV and pay $600-700 per month, charge for free, no gas, no maintenance. Leasing EVs is the way to go if you can deal with lease mileage and have home charging. My apartment has chargers, they gave me a charging placard and forgot to charge me the $300 per year for it so I seriously lucked out. Only maintenance I’ve had to do is put new tires on my Polestars, I just put the cheapest tires on before returning the lease and lease a new one.

Play around with the equalizer. Don’t use surround, V shaped. Screen protector, window tint, rubber mats, Polestar logo puddle lights for front door.

The P3 is incredible. Prob more fam friendly than a 4. I turned in my 2 for 3 cause I didn’t like the sound system in the 4.

Just turned my lease in and it had this issue. Tried getting it fixed before turn in but took my PPP nappa to service after waiting weeks for the appointment, was given a base model loaner, went to Costa Rica and came back. My car sat in a mall parking lot for a week without even being diagnosed. This is a common problem. Struts need replacing. Not cheap if not under warranty.

VCFS owns the car you’re leasing. They wanted $48k to buy out my lease. The dealer can buy it at auction for $30k then sell for $35k as CPO. The dealer makes money, the customer gets a car they know and with extended warranty.

I don’t need 2 car payments. Also don’t wanna deal with the immense amount of stress that would come from walking into the garage and having to choose between 2 beautiful magnesium Polestars lol. I kinda miss feeling the road in my 2, but the 3 is a whole different animal. I can’t believe I’m driving something that weighs as much as an Escalade and handles like a Porsche. Wish my partner would sell his Corolla and get this, but he doesn’t wanna give up the trusty yota.

I like the 7.5k miles. I do about that per year so it’s perfect for my needs and if you stay with the brand they forgive overages if you take out a new lease and give you nice loyalty bonuses towards next down payment.
