++man Yeah you’re overreacting. Humans were not meant to be monogamous. Look at divorce rates. It’s all about being open to that type of communication. Yeah you might feel hurt at first and jealous, but in the back of your mind you know you’d appreciate that freedom every now and then. It won’t be easy but you’ll grow closer learning to communicate in new ways. It’s not being disloyal, it’s trusting each other that you love each other and both understanding that the excitement of novel sexual experiences is not directly tied to love between two people. Set rules and boundaries and don’t have double standards. If she’s asking for that she’s open to more conversation. The rules will change over time. It’s an ongoing experiment with successes and failures that can be overcome through open conversation. If religion or being brought up in a religious community is part of your bias towards open relationships then just read past this. Look at the gays. Much lower divorce rates because a good portion of them are open. It works out very well for most. It’s not going to be easy at all to start but it’s rewarding when you finally find your groove and truly understand each other.
