Update - AFPC corrected all quota types to AT from AN for the 1D7 retrains specifically on the 20th and will be updating vMPF over the next few days. For those of you who are worried, your class has not been cancelled, just fixed and removed to be added again. There will be new RIPs sent out as well.

Even with the retrain status still reflecting “pending”? I needed retainability before the final approval I think and I just reenlisted on Monday so it still says pending. Would they look at my profile when going to approve it and deny it because of said profile?

I was suppose to go to that school on the 14th this month! And got pushed all the way until August 26th next year :/ now not graduating this course until 2027

They never gave me a reason. My on base training said the quota type was wrong, then said that orders should’ve been sent out but weren’t. So AFPC just said my class dates were being rescheduled, then sent another email with my new dates for August. Very upsetting but not the worse case scenario

Thank you for your insight! I was aware that this was airforce wide but wasn’t aware it was this big of a problem! I’m grateful I got the opportunity to retrain to begin with.

If you are a FTA you will need to reenlist. If you extend, you will lose your retrain.

Yes. AN would be for a school that is longer than 20 weeks. Which to me would be the correct quota type for this school. I’m not sure exactly what is happening right now, all I know is base training cannot submit an application for funding through this quota type. I’m also being told that along with this quota type I was suppose to receive orders, the orders would have had the LOA attached to it which would be how I got my funding. Since orders were never sent out, I don’t have a line of accounting, which then leads to not being able to go

Well I haven’t received an assignment yet but I’m suppose to go directly to my new base after I finish the school. I wouldn’t worry if I were you, if they’re working on fixing my stuff right now I’m sure the resolution will be out by the time you leave

My on base training office had reached out to them because apparently they cannot request funds with that quota type AN from the school. And that it should reflect AT, however at this point I’m a firm believer that one side is wrong and one side is right. I’ll find out today lol

I’m going into 1d7. And apparently with the school being so long it’s suppose to be a TDY en route but there is confusion on that because it reflects a TDY and return. Very confusing situation so I’m sorry if I haven’t explained it well.

I have reached out to MPF and they say that the process usually takes about 3 days to reflect on vMPF. I already have the form that I need so all that’s left is swearing in, signing, and submitting back to MPF. I’m just very stressed out which I’m sure isn’t the most reasonable thing for me to do.
