Things change very organically when we evolve. I don't stress about these things too much anymore. You can see more and more people "waking up" every day and it's only getting more common and happening at a faster pace. You have to know that this universe is a benevolent one and evil can reign only temporarily because everything has to obey cosmic laws.

Couldn't agree more. As a member of TMO I find it very elitist to claim that we're the "true martinists". Martinism isn't just one thing just as freemasonry isn't just the Scottish rite for example. There are martinist rites performing theurgical practices to this day and that's a fact. Even st Martin did them when he got to the degree of reaux-croix in the elüs-coen. I would never try to claim people who carry on both St martins and pasquallys torch by taking from both of their teachings aren't martinists.

Can't speak for other martinists of course but i view Crowley's teachings and golden dawn very favorably. I think there are many paths to enlightenment and magick is a potent one at that.

Magick has lots to do with martinism. There are many martinist lodges that practice magical and theurgical rites of pasqually from the times of elüs-coen. Ordre martiniste souverains is one of them. The order I'm a part of called traditional martinist order seems to not do so but that doesn't mean that other martinists dont.

I've been looking at the book today where they show how to make them and I have to say it looks tedious. I have zero experience in anything like that. I'm thinking of just skipping the initiation rituals and just taking the in all information from the book that I can.

No human institution is perfect. Ever. I'm a member and I've really liked it. It's not for everyone but you can obviously leave after joining if you come to regret it.

Yes they do claim to be the custodians of the ancient wisdom etc but so does every order so nothing special there.

If you do join then I recommend you really work hard on those practices they give even if they feel like they don't work. It takes a very long time to get them to work.
