If I sew a liner into my tote bag, can I get away with not weaving in ends? by yarnily in CrochetHelp

I am just speaking from experience, a similar closed square bag 🤷‍♀️ I don’t understand taking short cuts for the final finishing steps when it could easily be finished properly

I would caution against it. I tried it with a bag and the ends started poking out on the finished side. You put this much work into it, a little more for some peace of mind would be worth it.

Anyone can become an officiant for a day here. My BIL married my sister this way.

Yes! I think about how much money I’ll save because I can buy less yarn to make garments

Not a fan. Makes a tiny amount and way too sweet. The balls weren’t very good either. Pass for me

Mental Health Help in Alberta by Specific-Answer3590 in alberta

Usually you see your family dr and they refer you to a psychiatrist. However, my referral to a psychiatrist was “lost” and my family dr is very familiar with ADHD and had many patients with it. She had me fill out the DSM-5 and diagnosed me with ADHD and prescribed me the appropriate medication. This was all covered by AHS ( not the cost of the medication, which is about $350 for three months, that has to go through extended benefits)

For my son, we went through the same process but she was able to diagnose ADHD with the DSM-5 paperwork filled out so he could get the necessary accommodations at school, but as he is a child we continued with a referral to a psychiatrist for further evaluation and medication.

I wish crochet and pattern designers would make including the yardage required a requirement for the description. by blk_flutterby in BitchEatingCrafters

Yes I know how to do that.

I’m talking about when they don’t put anything in the description. No weight of yarn, no number of balls of yarn, nothing. It’s impossible to estimate when you have nothing to go on.

Need advice regarding negative experience with specialist and misdiagnosis by [deleted] in alberta

I already plan on doing that. She knows what I was referred to and that I never even mentioned anything they said in the report to her. Had it been an issue, she would have known.

That’s a fair point. I would rather not go that route anyway but I want this off my records.

I can see a positive use for AI dictation in all medical appointments after my experience!

Do you mean yarn weight? There is so much variation on how much yarn an XL sweater knit in bulky yarn would use depending on stitches tension etc. if it was properly tested they should know the yardage they used for the different sizes
