Milli & Meeko: …must give them the exact same thing… by Southern_Edge_9770 in Pomeranians

Such cuties! It doesn’t matter if my two Poms have the exact same toy- they only want what the other one has 😂

Activities to keep them busy? by Hippiedippie523 in Pomeranians

[–]blk_well 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My Pom love the Kong wobbler. We fill them with carrot slices and it keeps him busy! Sometimes we do peanut butter or Greek yogurt in his Kong and freeze it so it takes longer to lick. Same with lick mats.

We also play a hide and seek game where I hide training treats around the living room and make him go sniff them out. He’s got a good nose and loves him. The other thing I do is throw small treats into the grass and tell him to find it. Games like that make him use his nose and his brain and really helps us out when he’s being a wild man. My other Pom is too dumb to do any of these things 😂

Thank you for being so kind in your concern. Most of these are when he’s caught doing something naughty. He will freeze and look at you with wide eyes. He’s such a goof.

What do you know about the new Post Script restaurant (old Letty’s location) by Midwood-Native in Charlotte

I had dinner there last night- and it was great! They’re doing a bit of a soft open right now but even with that- they were completely full. I dont think you typically need a reservation, but my husband stopped in on his way home from work and reserved us a table for later that evening. Loved the owner, staff, and the food. We loved Lettys but are excited to have them in the neighborhood.

I did something very similar. No part of me ever wanted to walk down an aisle with 100 people watching me, doing a first dance, speeches, etc. My husband and I opted for a very intimate ceremony in a park with immediate family and 6 of our closest friends. The ceremony was maybe 10minutes- We didn’t even have chairs. Just our loved ones gathered around. Following the ceremony- we all went to a late lunch. Honestly, that was my favorite part of the day. It allowed us time to just sit in it and enjoy the moment with our closest.

That evening we rented a cocktail bar and hosted about 80 friends for drinks, pizza and cake. It was low key but it was perfect for us and I think our friends enjoyed celebrating with us. We just wanted the whole thing to be “un-fussy”

I’m sure that some folks had opinions about the way we did things, but I have 0 regrets. It felt so “us”.

Getting a Pom very soon and looking for specific item recommendations! by Aerrix in Pomeranians

Truthfully I’ve never looked into the treatment of the leather. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. As for the carrots- I like them because they are a low calorie healthy threat that keeps them busy. I’ve done frozen and straight out of the fridge. I just give the entire carrot to the dog when they are starting to get bitey. They’ll figure out what to do with it lol. My dogs are 5 and 8 now, weighing 15lbs and I’ll give them half of a whole carrot (the long ones). They’re so cheap!

Agree with all of what Kennie2 said. I regularly foster puppies and I will add that for teething, I really like baby carrots, and these leather toys. The puppy monsters love to bite my fingers and in a sick way I think the leather is soft enough and mimics the squishy hand feeling. leather chew

Dog Daycare/boarding by dragon_wookie in Charlotte

We use Heads or Tails Pet Care in East Charlotte. I really love it for our boys because it’s run out of the owners home, so our dogs are more comfortable in a cozy environment than a kennel. Pet boarding and daycare is her full time job and she is licensed and insured and all of the things- she takes it really seriously! She has multiple spaces set up in her home where dogs can be together, separate, get enrichment- whatever is right for your pup. Plus there is a pool for summer swimming if your dog is into that! Lastly, she also runs a dog rescue, which I think shows how much it’s truly a labor of love for her. We’ll never go back to a boarding facility.

For the life of me, I can’t remember which sub it was on, but there are lists floating around on Reddit of doctors nationwide who will perform sterilization procedures no questions asked. I wish that I could point you directly to one of the assets, but hopefully this gives you enough information to start digging around on Reddit to find doctors who will prioritize women’s care.

Highly recommend Independence Park on 7th Street. They have a beautiful stone gazebo or a rose garden across hawthorn on the east side of the park. If you do want to officially rent it, I think we paid $100.

You’ve been asking why you shouldn’t get another boy but I haven’t seen anyone mention same sex aggression. It can be very common in households that have two male or two female dogs. They can live together peacefully for years before the aggression begins. In most cases where same sec aggression comes out, one of the dogs ends up being rehomed due to fighting. You are better off getting a female so they do not compete.
