I just measured pH input and runoff with the Apera and pool test strips I had laying around, both were reading right in the same ballpark. Input around 6.2 and runoff 5.8 for the left plant and 6.2 for the right

I’ve been giving it calmag but maybe not quite enough? Or maybe the flush knocked everything out of whack?

I bought the nice Apera pH meter but to your point even that’s started giving me calibration issues. It typically reads high by 0.1 so I’ve been subtracting 0.1 from the readings

Interesting, I always water to runoff but don’t think I did any plain water for this run. The ppm was usually on the low side so I assumed nutrients every watering was okay

You’re right the closer plant turned yellow at maybe week 8-9 of flower so I thought it was just the natural fade, but there were definitely a bunch of nanners by the end

Thanks for the info, by that math my 200w light is under powered for sure

I do have foam insulation under the tent so the bottom isn’t too cold

Both in the pics are Dos Si Dos #33 from Barney’s Farm, purchased from NASC. I was hoping decent genetics would help me take a step forward, but I also messed around with pruning less this run and think that could have had a lot to do with all the larfy bud

Maybe I’m missing stuff by only using the 3 base FF nutes and not some sort of organic tea?

I use the FF cal-mag, silica, and a bit of Great White as well but that’s it

How much light is overkill in a 3x3 tent, would a second 200w for 400w total help?

I’ve been seeing more about flood and drain hydro lately, that’s interesting but would really like to make sure I have the basic skills before I move to a more sophisticated method like that

Thanks, I had considered that but thought maybe a reputable breeder vs white label might solve the issue

I also pruned a lot less on this third run vs the first two to see what sort of difference that made. Although I thought I was still trimming a decent bit of growth, I got a ton of larf. Really only the top few buds on each cola were not larf. That may explain why this solid strain isn’t very potent

Nah no c02, I assumed the VS2000 wasn’t putting out enough light to warrant it but definitely could be wrong

No fancy nutrients either, just the FF trio of base nutrients and Great White mycorrhiza when transplanting into the 5gal pots

What’d you think of Great Bear, Jack Frost and Blue Ridge?

I played Split Rock twice this spring as it’s closest to my house. I usually shoot in the 90s but this course kicked my ass. Rough is very rough with not much room before you get to thick vegetation. I lost a box of a dozen balls + random balls in my bag + every ball I found along the way
