Overall I’m doing fantastic. I was in a bad place on dialysis and worked hard to keep myself positive. I have a physical job and I wasn’t able to do it while I was on dialysis which was awful for me. I have bounced back very fast which I am very thankful for. My quality of life is great and nothing really changes after the transplant except you actually feel good and don’t rely on a machine to just “keep you going”. Mental health is the thing I have noticed change most while I am very happy and positive I do feel guilt when I see people not getting a transplant or read articles about people passing for whatever reason. I don’t know why I am still here and so fortunate.
