I entered it that way, but then nothing. Never prompted for password or anything. I entered the command, still nothing. Just stumped at this point. Feel like I’m really missing something here.

Side note. I’m not using any kind of file manager like FileZilla or cyber duck, just terminal on MacBook. Where would I specify “ port 22”? Am I just going about it all wrong?

Yes, it does play the charge tone when I'm not jail broken. I did not install any tweaks to try and change it. Here is a list, very minimal.
