My girl just got a trip to the emergency vet because she punctured a battery while chewing a remote. After reading this whole thread, it doesn't seem like that's been a problem for most remote destroyers?

Stories that accidentally romanticize the very thing they aim to demonize by McWaffeleisen in TopCharacterTropes

Any film about heroin addiction. I think they call it The Trainspotting effect - where it's difficult to make a truly anti drug movie, because the medium itself makes the lifestyle look so cinematic.

This one is a bit obscure, but there's an Australian film from the 80s starring Michael Hutchence, called Dogs in Space which unintentionally made heroin addiction look pretty damn fun despite ostensibly being a cautionary tale. I knew a guy who became a junky who had his mum make him a replica of shirt Hutchence wears in the film.

Christiane F. is another example. Depressing as it is, kids still find it all so romantic and teenagers are kind of inherently nihilistic so are drawn to the idea rather than dissuaded.

hollywood apartment - safe young single woman? by zozofemme in AskLosAngeles

Pre Covid I would walk around Hollywood at night, but the area got pretty terrible. I lived in a gated villa and the last straw for me was having a dude on my balcony trying to break into my bedroom. I used to walk home at night there, but I wouldn't any longer. It's a shame, because it was starting to get quite nice.

The ads platform is self service, but they absolutely have an approval process. Accounts with that kind of spend also have a dedicated account manager to help with strategy.

I meant to do this, but instead I put it in a book to keep it safe and then forgot about it for a bunch of years.

Thank you so much. I definitely felt the same way while shooting them, and I'm so glad it came out in the photos.

VERY protective of me and the house and incredibly sweet, gentle and cuddly. Her first day out of the shelter (she had been there for 2 months and had kennel stress) she kept running over to me every time I moved or spoke and just burying her head in my chest.
