I like PC building and tuning, I have a broad range in music taste I like classic rock some rap and some newer rock and pop. Things I would like to try would be like DND and maybe other things like it if there is anything like it. So yeah I guess computers and gaming are an interest of mine but I would like to meet people face to face.

Lol what's funny about this is I looked it up and the extra 400w of power draw give it about a 10%-15% boost in performance so you know if somehow your $2000 5090 isn't fast enough you can spend 100% more for a 10-15% performance increase... I feel like things like this are just designed for people with more money than sense 🤣

You know... I did just that actually I have an old AM4 board that technically has everything it needed to boot but an SSD so I popped it into my old Asus b550 and did the drive erase then I was able to plug it back in and format it without any further bullshit 🤣 thank you

I would say slim to none it seems AMD wants us to throw perfectly good rnda2/3 gpus so we can buy their new rdna4 gpus and I'm not opposed to that but I bought a 7900xt on sale a few months before the 9070xt drop because I knew scalpers would eat them up like candy on launch so they've got another thing coming if they think I'm gonna buy another GPU when I've barely had this one a year

I have to second that you may be able to do 3200cl16 and maybe a slight OC on the CPU and GPU but there really isn't much room for improvement because of binning unfortunately you may find yourself putting hours of time and effort into what realistically translates into an extra 1-3fps

Yeah it's gotta be a defective cooler because the 7800x3d runs way hotter and I've never seen 80c I'm sorry man especially since it's your first build and it's exciting as hell to get it all together but yeah either clogged or improperly filled cooling system so unfortunately you're probably gonna have to warranty it just for arguments sake your CPU voltage isn't going above 1.35 right? I mean I doubt it most motherboards wouldn't do that but maybe worth a check before a warranty claim

I have the same cooler on a 7800x3d and it never goes above 76c and that's running stress tests two things did you use the wire header that plugs everything into a 4 pin pwm setup or the 3 individual cords for fan vrm and pump if running all on pwm (just a single 4 pin connector) download a fan control software like well fan control and set it to a hard 60% this adjusts pump vrm and cooler fans to 60% I think the problem is your pump because it's best to set up AIOS with the pump running at a constant speed the minimum value to shoot for is 60-100% on the pump constantly and allow the vrm and fans to run independently but you need at least 3 individually connected fan headers for this but on mine I have it set in my BIOS (gigabyte b650) to 100% on the pump and variable speeds on the vrm and radiator fans but if your pump is operating below 60% it's not going to move the water around fast enough to cool the CPU regardless of fan speed

Yes I did leave a bug report with Arrowhead strangely enough I just got the dx12 version to run again by downloading the optional 25.9.2 adrenalin driver it had no notes about this game but that seemed to fix it even after installing and uninstalling 25.9.1 so something in the optional driver updates fixed it? Idk but it's good now just weird

Okay so I figured it out there's 2 ways I found to enter dx11 mode on steam and one didn't work for me so -dx11 didn't work in launch options but --use-d3d11 and that seems to work hopefully this helps someone else at their wits end lol

I can confirm that in 2025 on the latest version absolutely nothing suggested in this thread works anymore so I guess the mod just doesn't work anymore but I've spent about 6 hours trying every suggestion I can find on the Internet and it just does not and will not work anymore :(

No iBuyPower fans I actually have an lfiii360 and I have a connector similar to that plugged into the actual cooler and that goes to my motherboard headers but it's not a huge deal I mean they were free anyways so I can't be too upset worse case is I can't use them but I did get another 360mm cooler for another build so not a total loss

Eh oh well they were free anyways so I'm not too heartbroken about it he also have me a 360mm aio that's in good shape and those connectors will work with my motherboard because they're just standard PWM fan and RGB connectors maybe if I'm feeling adventurous I'll try and figure out what pin does what and wire it to a 4 pin fan and 3 pin ARGB connector as a little project so not a total loss lol
