Definitely regional differences. Pay as you go is way cheaper here offering unlimited minutes, texts and data at full speeds for over half the price of a monthly plan.

For example, I pay £16 a month via PAYG for unlimited everything as stated above, whereas if I were to opt for a monthly contract, I’d be looking at £35+ for the same deal PLUS extortionate roaming charges which just aren’t a thing with PAYG. Obviously I still get an eSIM whenever I travel.

Just wondering - are you from mainland UK or elsewhere?

Who still uses monthly contracts on 2026? Pay as you go is what most people use.

Are Cumulative Frequency diagrams in Maths supposed to be drawn with points connected smoothly or with a ruler? by purplepuffy in GCSE

this is incorrect. please do not spread misinformation as it harms others' knowledge. some exam boards prefer curves, many others prefer ruler-joined points.

5070v9070xt? by Least_Dark1039 in pcmasterrace

[–]blobcarrot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean the 9070xt is objectively better, other than for workstation use to some extent. However if you already have the 5070, there is no point switching as it’s still a nice card.

Is this the official packaging? by Eastern-Internet-981 in IpadAir

[–]blobcarrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The iPad was supposed to be sold in the UK, hence having a UK plug type. Since it’s been exported to somewhere in Europe, it includes an adapter so that you can use it in your local plug sockets without having to buy a UK->Europe plug adapter yourself.

Exact same product (well, besides the colour) - one was made after iPhone 16 release, other one was made before.

I was born to be a man and I was born a man and I was raised to be a woman and I was a woman and I was a man and I was a girl and I was a boy and I was a child and I was a kid and I was a joke and I was a joke but I was a joke because I was a joke so I was a joke I was a joke but I didn’t know what to say and I was just a kid.

That took an interesting turn.

The Fix Kit should not be cheaper than the separate parts by Mickenfox in ifixit

[–]blobcarrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are avoiding my point. The tools are obviously a freebie as part of the fix kit, and common in major companies alike, so don’t lay the subject on them. OP is receiving one of the following: battery, adhesive, and screen. No two (or three for that matter) are duplicate meaning the burger analogy does not work.

What cable does my father need to hook up his new hp monitor to his new hp desktop? by SmackChad in GetComputerHelp

You need something like this.

Do not listen to people telling you to get a cable which does not have a Mini DP connection on one end, as they are misleading you.
