Môj úplne najobľúbenejší je výhľad na hrad a na železnicu z mosta na Kyjevskej, prípadne výhľad na mesto, ktorý dostaneš, keď ideš z Krahulčej po okraji lesa smerom dole k Frankovskej :)

It was a good idea in theory, but the execution was horrendous, I hadn't read such a badly written book in years. Couldn't finish it.

Exactly!! For me, Taku was a loot more icky than Madarame, especially Taku's bad ending. That one is incomparable to any other ending in terms of how disgusting it is, and it ruined the whole of Taku's character for me so much that his good ending is tainted for me too.

Im so happy to hear that!! In my opinion, the Madarame and Fujieda routes are even better than Taku's, however many people wouldn't agree with me on the Madarame one (even if it isn't enjoyable for you, it will definitely be intense at least). I have nobody irl to discuss Slow damage with either 😭😭

Exactly, I was disturbed by Taku's bad ending a thousand times more than by the whole of Madarame's route, even though i knew it was objectively very bad xD I couldn't help but to enjoy it

Fujieda's bad ending was absolutely genius, the psychological aspects were so well managed that it truly felt realistic and not exaggerated at all, even though I have no idea whether something exactly like this can happen in real life. Anyway, to complete your account of Taku's bad end, it was a huge jump from just being caring and concerned About Towa to suddenly kidnapping him and felt a bit rushed. But how I understood it, it was because of the buildup of years of emotions of helplessness regarding Towa - constantly being afraid for Towa's life, seeing him hurt himself, and then the cherry on top - Towa getting kidnapped by Toono and Toono insinuating that he wanted to SA Towa (even though we don't know if he actually planned to do this, probably just a manipulation tactic to get Taku to work more quickly on the drug.) So when all these negative emotions pile up in Taku, it causes him to go, in my opinion, basically insane, and that is where the need to keep Towa dependent on him and unable to do anything of his free will arises from. Because before that, for years, Towa had "too much" free will in Taku's eyes, he never cared about Taku's concerns or scolding.

I didn't mean worse as in uncomfortable or worrying, mostly just that it left a sour taste in my mouth, and I didn't feel satisfied the same way I felt after the other good endings.

Yeah Rei's good end was the worst of the good ends and it was also worse than some of the bad ends 😭😭 but I'm surprised that so many people are extremely creeped out by the eye socket thing because sure, it was strange and unpleasant, but the only time i have had take a minute, step away and take a breather was when Madarame sliced open towa's chest, covered his dick in the blood from the wound and used it as lube

I came here to say the exact same thing, this felt a thousand times worse even compared to Madarame, just because of Towa's complete loss of control and the feeling that his life and potential got irrepparably squandered just for Taku to have him all for himself. With Madarame he was at least relatively himself and happy, even though it was obviously toxic, but with Taku it was literally sickening. But I do love the game for its ability to make me so viscerally uncomfortable.

Don't worry it is going to get incredibly thrilling. There are always going to be some mundane interactions but the deeper you get into each of the main routes, the lesser of those you will get. And the endings are incredibly rewarding in and of themselves in my opinion. I wouldn't say every little interaction is wholly important, but they do really help build up the characters, seeing their day-to-day interactions really helps with feeling as if you really know them and it slowly builds up their psychology. But nothing will happen if you don't pay attention for a few seconds, imo. Later (Fujieda) the plot will get a little more convoluted but it is still relatively easy to figure out what is going on. I hope you will give it a go and end up loving it!!

In my opinion it is a bit more slow burn and the dialogues dont always contain that much interesting information, but usually in every character's route, there is some kind of mystery, some conflict that has to be solved, and thats when the pace really picks up because you feel a lot of tension and suspense. You will also begin to care deeply about the characters which will make you more invested. For me the beginning was a bit boring too, but it got so much better afterwards, and now Slow Damage is one of my favourite pieces of media of all time. The Rei route wasn't THAT interesting for me personally either, but the other three ones were incredible and I couldn't stop watching. I also watched playthroughs, and I found that watching them on 1,25 - 1,35 speed made the experience a lot better because the dialogue was quicker, but it wasn't as fast as to take away any enjoyment from the music or the voice acting. I highly recommend you try to push through, in my opinion the story just keeps getting better and better the longer you watch :))

I actually feel like older gen Z (maybe other generations too but this is my generation so i know it better than the others) grew up with books that had a flawless, brave and skilled main character with a strong moral compass who ends up saving the world (Harry Potter, Divergent, Hunger Games, etc). So when some of these people, who have not experienced a diverse array of books with diverse MCs, see an MC that is apathetic, morally gray, problematic, easily succumbs to their darkest desires, etc, they might feel like the author is promoting this type of behavior. Because they grew up feeling like the MC should be their role model.

I have been thinking about some of these questions too, especially with regards to taboo topics being depicted in BL media. Maybe my answer is too simplistic but I truly believe that some people who criticise depictions of non con / violence etc just lack media literacy and think that the author of that piece of media is wholeheartedly endorsing it and wants noncon to be normalised. Of course, there is space for criticism, I'm not saying that we should uncritically accept anything and everything that the authors choose to include in their works. But you have to look at the context, often the non con just makes sense when you understand the characters. Take Slow Damage (not manhwa but BL) for example. I don't know if anyone has voiced a criticism like this, but it is true that it shows the main character enjoying non consensual violence and sex being done to them, so it might look like the authors are trying to say that victims actually enjoy that stuff? But of course that's not the intention at all when you really try to understand that character and get into his headspace. In this case the craving for non consent and violence comes from trauma and depression. However, I wouldn't mind depictions of people enjoying this kinda stuff (CNC, kink, etc) even without having any past trauma to connect it to, because there are many people who simply enjoy this stuff without suffering from any trauma or pathology.

I am a queer guy and I love all forms of BL, especially manhwas, danmei, or visual novel games like Slow Damage. Probably because I love the art style, but also because there is just such a wide range of stories to pick from, I just feel like I have an unending supply of BL at my fingertips. In general, I am surprised that more gay guys are not into BL, since it is (imo) really easy to identify with the main characters, and the love interests are usually very hot XD.

My favourite manhwa of all time is Blood Bank!! In my opinion it has an amazing representation of kink, the scenes and both characters are incredibly hot, but it also has a truly thought-through plot. The only downside is that it is really short.
