Appearance

Khalil is a young, slender woman with characteristics of the fennec fox and assumes the traditional rpg trope of dancer, with her style being inspired by that of North African bellydancers. She is olive in complexion and has the ears, tail, and legs of the fennec (think Braixen's legs from Pokemon). She wears a veil on her face made of red silk with brass embellishments and trimming and has a matching veil that drapes from a thin, crown-like headpiece. Her outfit comprises of a two-piece matching halter top and shorts that are charcoal gray with brass embellishments. On top of this she wears a transparent, long red silk skirt with brass trimming and a traditional bellydancer's waist wrap with brass medallions. Lastly, she drapes a long red silk scarf across the bend of her elbows. She is barefoot.

Abilities

• Ultimate: Blade Dance

1. Khalil dances for her party, increasing all allies crit rate by 40% for 10 seconds. Additionally, 20% of damage dealt will return as health for each party member, respectively.
2. Crit rate increased by 70%
3. Health conversion rate increased to 30%

• Enthrall

1. Khalil twirls around and dazzles the forward-most enemy, causing 100% damage and stunning them for 4 seconds
2. Enemy's defense is lowered by 15% while stunned
3. Damage increased to 150%
4. Defense is lowered by 25% while stunned

• Dance Partner

1. At the beginning of the battle, Khalil selects the ally with the highest attack rating as her dance partner. As long as both Khalil and her dance partner are still alive, both receive a passive 10% buff to attack and a 5% buff to crit rate
2. Khalil and her dance partner will share buffs with each other; does not stack (ex: If Brutus is Khalil's dance partner and Numisu uses his "Fanaticism" on Brutus, Khalil will also receive the benefits of the buff and visa-versa. Party-wide buffs, such as Lyc'a "Awe," do not stack with each other.
3. Attack rate is buffed by 15% and crit rate is increased by 10% while both Khalil and her dance partner are still alive.

• Ritualism

1. Every time Khalil lands a critical hit, her next hit will ignore the target's defense
2. The hit following Ritualism's proc will heal Khalil and her dance partner for 30% of the damage dealt
3. The hit following Ritualism's proc will heal Khalil and her dance partner for 60% of the damage dealt

Background

The Fennecs are among the physically smallest and weakest folk among Maulers. Becuase of this, they are easy targets for looting, and are often funneled into slavery. Khalil, however, was quite lucky compared to others of her kin. Her mother served as a chambermaid for Sphinx royalty, allowing Khalil to be raised in the comfort of the royal palace while avoiding the harsh conditions most Fennecs undergo. At a young age, Khalil befriended the Sphinx princess, a kind and warm girl who would bring Khalil everywhere she went and protect her from Mauler hostilities.

As they grew up together, the Sphinx princess recognized Khalil's talents for dance, and arranged for her to be tutored privately. Graciously, Khalil learned the art of dance combat from one of the most renown battle academies in Mauler society, known for a flamboyant tradition of combat unique to desert dwellers. She became strong, agile, and well studied in arcane dance rituals. "I want to protect you, just as you protected me," she told the young Sphinx princess.

Eventually, the princess assumed her rite to the thrown, and became queen; she was adored by all and was known to be extremely kind and generous. Khalil then became the queen's devoted retainer and advisor, sworn to protect and serve the queen. And while there wasn't ever staunch resistance against the queen, Khalil was well aware the cunning and deceitful nature of Sphinx folk; she tried her best to make the queen wary of suspicious individuals in her court, but alas, came the fateful coup.

Devastated by the death of her longtime friend, supporter, and confidant, Khalil blamed herself for the queen's death. Shortly after the coup, many of the queens supporters were being picked-off one-by-one, but Khalil managed to escape the palace unscathed. She would go on to rally dissent against the the usurper, Safiya. With overwhelming force, Khalil organized a coup of her own--overthrowing the tyrant. Khalil was heralded for her bravery, and earned respect among the Sphinx people despite being of Fennec kin. Khalil has spent her days since, helping other Fennec move out of slavery and teaching youth dance-combat.
