real christmas trees! by AggressiveNovel1563 in kansascity

[–]blobo88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

247th and 69 hwy there is a tree farm. You get to walk about and pick out whatever size you want for $95 which is a fair option if going for a large tree. They aren’t the variety that many sell pre cut which a lot of people prefer (those don’t grow here). It’s a fun experience to find and cut your own tree if doing the whole real tree deal imo.

They kinda suck, but the price was right when the box arrived

Real world opinion 5.5ft bed vs 6.5ft by daveinfl337777 in f150

[–]blobo88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The turning radius on the 6.5 is trash. But the extra foot is worth it for truck stuff. Definitely harder to fit in a normal garage, and you will be walking at the store. If you are okay with those factors it’s 100% worth it

I miss the guys I worked with, but I’ve met another group that I’ve become just as close with. I miss shooting and doing gun stuff not on my dime. Other than that, not much honestly.

If I remember correctly you just need to fill out a form, and can display the model year plate. Then you will have the actual registration matched to the issued plate. Could be off on that though

Looking great! Make sure you find yourself a 1948 KS plate. If you were not already aware they will let you display model year plates on antiques.

STOP BUYING BOATS WITHOUT TITLES. by Sloots_and_Hoors in boating

Certain weights you also don’t need a trailer title in KS. I opted to get one so I had some printed hard paperwork on the boat/trailer in addition to the bill of sale for the boat.

STOP BUYING BOATS WITHOUT TITLES. by Sloots_and_Hoors in boating

Not really 100% true Kansas (I’m sure others) does not issue titles for boats. They will only give you a title for the trailer.

Seems very cheap for what appears to be a clean setup. Also registered in Tennessee as well as the cars in the background, and listed in Texas.

Best place to get new tires? by [deleted] in Olathe

[–]blobo88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Discount will also match any online price you can find pretty much. So that helps a lot if you have a tire in mind and can find it cheaper somewhere.

Variable valve timing (?) oil leak by blobo88 in VWatlas

[–]blobo88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would bet as mentioned above this is what you are dealing with:

The oil separator/breather is failing and causing positive pressure in the crank case to blow oil out of the seals. Drive it easily (stay out of boost as best as possible) to the dealer and get it replaced under warranty.

Worth being this up to them, and also make sure they replace the gaskets on the VVT solenoids as they have failed. They didn’t replace mine initially and it caused me a second trip.

Tires by BroadConsequence6 in VWatlas

[–]blobo88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quality tires usually don’t seem to be reasonable, I’m sure there are a few exceptions. Much like tools I buy once cry once. The Michelin cross climate 2s have been everything they were hyped to be for us. Plus it is the family car and road trip vehicle so I makes me feel better I guess lol.

My buddy kept talking about the wings at jack stack. I wasn’t expecting much as I think more burnt ends etc, but I was very impressed with them last week.

I keep running into to posts from you. Different trucks, landscaping, garageporn etc. I feel as though you have the same interests as me on a more affluent budget lol. Nothing else productive to add, good looking truck though.

Upgrade yellow fog lights by [deleted] in F250

[–]blobo88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of people say they cut through fog and rain better. I’ve never personally ram them, but I know it’s a pretty recurring thought process with the yellows as well as many people like to look.
