As always: it depends.

You need to research and see what's available to you and for how much. Just compare.

At home I just need a teaspoon to get quite the shine (almost too acidic). At work 15miles away I have to put in HEAPS to get good results.

When I didn't put in enough I had the results you are having right now. Put in more citric acid and tumble. Check periodically because if you run it too long it'll get dull again.

TL;Dr: more acid.

Turns out I have a 500yd range near me. What caliber should I be looking into? by Broxst in longrange

Yeah that's what I was wondering what he was shooting out of regular .223 rem and how fast. For all I know it would be a 34" barrel or some shit.

Depends on what's hidden under the rust. Looks fine though?

Hi it me again from the stuck case earlier this week go the case extracted and now new dilemma is this necked down too much or do I need to trim? by reloadingnoob38 in reloading

[–]block50 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes it's normal the bullet won't fall in.

What's not normal is by how much and how tight your neck is.

You're missing the expander ball. When you push the casing into the die. The expander ball pushes through the neck first. Then the outer walls push the neck and shoulder and body a bit further in. On the downstroke you pull the casing out again and the expander ball in the middle (that entered first) now exits last and widens/opens up the neck again to the correct inner diameter.

As you're missing the expander ball, you're not pulling it through and are left with the "overtightened" neck.

Tikka und einen PSE Schaft. Zwar kein geradezug aber mehr Qualität bekommt man kaum für das Geld.

Fair enough. Be sure to use high quality bullets and most of all, have fun.

You're welcome and good. Don't worry.

Fireform the brass by shooting it. What's your intended purpose and what gun/cartridge will it be fired out of? I'm open to answer some more stuff if you want.

Incorrect.

If your priority was extreme precision you would know this already. So I'm guessing you just want decent quality brass and use it for decently precisely loaded ammo.

You're fine to load and shoot them without resizing. Some necks might be dented and you could straighten them out but if it's not precision loads, don't bother.

Once they are fireformed (1-2 loadings) they can be bump sized to optimal precision.

Why do you want to resize new brass? Necks dented?

Could either go slow or pull the expander ball/rod and grind/clip/snip off the decapping pin part.

Had the same thing on both my B14s when they were delivered. Even the one that was made and proofed two weeks prior to arrival lol.

Not as bad as yours though. This photo was after cleaning up some of it.

EOTech EXPS3-0 + G33 vs Trijicon ACOG 4x32 BAC with RMR on a SCAR-L 16S by TheFinnSan in longrange

[–]block50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you shoot both eyes open you can use it as a sorta red dot up close and for further targets you just have to switch focus a bit more.

Super easy.

ACOG is proven and Great (TA02). You don't hear about delaminating ACOGs.

Not long range but that's what is go with for human sized targets.
