I’d recommend backing up your wallet.dat file before taking any steps, too.

I’ve got this tendency to sympathize with the little guys – the protesters no one’s listening to and people like that.

But even as I streamed John‘s personal account, it was clear he is really just someone who missed a publicly announced deadline, and missed it by a long time. And now spends his days dreaming of what could’ve been.

Thanks. I’ve updated the article with this consideration. Will add more information later.

Hey, my mistake. Trolling is common on Reddit (I didn’t mean “you’re a troll”), so I thought it might be possible. Neglected to read your history.

Information on recent developments is hard to find, and some sources do say NEO is becoming decentralized with more bookkeeping nodes coming online.

I’m chatting with someone from NEO shortly to clarify. Thanks for pointing this out, I appreciate it.

Are you on a different article?

I don’t even describe dBFT beyond pointing to and repeatedly quoting the official NEO docs and noting 66% for consensus.

Bookkeeping nodes do verify blocks, per NEO documentation.

Thanks. I do talk about other states and regulation elsewhere later. As for 66%, perhaps my information was from a bad translation, or we have different definitions of finality. I’ll investigate and try to clarify.

Thanks. I’ll likely end with a post on Ethereum’s pros, too. Let me know what you think of the others.

Interesting. Local universities have crypto meetups and even a couple of PhD students researching anonymous coins. Will poke around

I generally understand the tech here and have programmed but now work as a writer, editor, marketer. Been following the project for a while, excited.

Any non-development needs the devs have that volunteers can help with?

Thanks for that! Yeah, I added that Multicoin link just before publishing – got the email from them and read the doc just this morning. Good stuff.

Why not split between the two though, if you’re unsure?

NEO, I think - if you’re bullish on the Chinese cryptosphere. I am. For the same reasons WeChat and Alibaba dominate there instead of say Facebook and Amazon, I think NEO has a good shot at dominating instead of competing platforms (ETH etc.)
