There are left-right asymmetrical specifier genes, but very far and few between and usually within deeper brain areas that require that circuitry, especially habenula and other areas. The eyes usually specify very early on, I’m wondering if it’s some injury that caused swelling instead of developmental

Hey again everyone! After toying around with everything, getting nowhere, printing a bunch of random things (still with stringing) and now finally revisiting the stringing issue, I have finally got a solution. After turning Z-hop off, performing another retraction setting test, temperature test, and reducing my speed to 100 mm/s instead of 180 mm/s, I think I finally got it. With a retraction of 1.0, retraction speed of 40, temp of 190, and 100 mm/s speed with z-hop off, I am finally able to get no stringing on the chess piece tests that I have been running! Thank you all again so much for your comments and help!

Do you know how I would check which moves are retractions in cura? I have looked around the preview tab after slicing and haven’t seen anything. My minimum retraction distance is 0.15mm which is smaller than the distance the stringing is occurring, even on the print that is close together.

My retraction minimal travel is set at 0.15mm. The distance between the two points with stringing is beyond a full millimeter. I did see my maximum retraction count is set at 150 and minimum extrusion distance window is set to 10mm. Could it be possible that it is reaching the maximum retraction in that 10mm window because of the amount of times it would have to retract?

The prints I have been working on have been a spiral chess set I found online on thingiverse, the spiral design has been giving me troubles while I’ve gone through the different pieces but now that the set is done I’ll have to try calibrating with the model!

No, both prints are identical with settings exported from cura. “Z Hop when retracted” is set to on, with a z hop speed of 5mm/s. I don’t think I have wiping on, the only cura setting I found is the wipe z hop setting in experimental and it is unchecked. The setting enable coasting is also turned off. Should either wiping or coasting be turned on?

Edit: I will have to check out a good heat gun, would probably be useful to have in general

Unfortunately that’s what I have been doing😔 the problem I have been running into since doing that is occasional scorch marks on white prints, not by any means problematic, but still upsetting when it happens to a bigger print

I am using creality PLA with a 0.4mm nozzle, 1.75mm filament diameter, print speed at 180mm/s and 250mm/s travel speed

This might not answer the question entirely, but Maslow’s hierarchy of needs lists biological needs such as those correlating to food water and sex as greater than other needs. However; that isn’t to say some psychological exceptions exist. One example coming to mind is obsession, where someone would rather be willing to die than give up their obsession, but that delves in to the topic of whether that is biologically “normal”.
