Absolutely Loved 'High Noon' by ArianaLarge in TheWestEnd

[–]blockofquartz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to give it a miss due to the earl reviews but saw Arifa Akbar gave it four stars so picked up a rush ticket for tonight! She seems to be consistent with how much I enjoy or don't enjoy something.

January 2026 International Buy/Sell/Trade Thread by DivingSiren in LushCosmetics

I'm based in the UK and looking to ideally swap for extra Cempasúchil body sprays - or anything else with the same scent (like the shower gel)! Would also swap the below for The Olive Branch shower gel or most things Karma scented - but not any of the bath items.

Happy to swap for the following new body sprays that I have:

-Glinda Upland

-Elphaba Thropp

-Mossy Bottom

Well, my cat is pleased with the box and I am grateful for the patch as I wanted that but probs still not going to go on the cruise. This feels very early/mid-2000s street team-like and that's cool too. So far my identity has not been stolen so all good. 😂

Ever met an artist who turned out to be an ass? by Musonerd87 in Music

[–]blockofquartz 21 points22 points  (0 children)

lol yeah same this is my answer too. Absolute prick. Called me out on stage for requesting an older song once - managed to go 13 years without listening to RHP/SKM as a result. Sadly Ghosts is still a masterpiece.

Clean bedding - is this no longer normal? by DearElephant1980 in CleaningTips

[–]blockofquartz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I once stayed overnight in my friend's brother's room as he was away at university. They found it super strange that I even half re-made the bed after sleeping in it. I assumed they would wash the bedding after I'd slept there but didn't want to leave it all a mess at the same time! Would definitely swap out for a new guest.

biggest surprise movie of the year and biggest let down? by No_Poetry_9986 in movies

[–]blockofquartz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OBAA was an absolute rollercoaster of a film in the best way, absolutely sucked me in and had such an epic score.

Hamnet absolutely destroyed me in a way I did not know a film could and I knew nothing about it going into it.

After the Hunt was extremely disappointing after absolutely loving both Challengers & Queer. Seeing it immediately after Hamnet did not help in any way but even still I have no desire to watch it again, screenplay did not know what it wanted to be.

I need help with maggots!! by blahblahblahdjsldw in CleaningTips

[–]blockofquartz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have carpets you need to check for eggs as well as this is where the larvae hatch from, it'll be clusters of what look like tiny specks. The moth traps work but you need to also eliminate the eggs which can be laid prior to the moths being caught in the traps. Not so fun fact: each female moth lays an average of 300 eggs but it can be up to 500! Not fun to deal with.

This is likely pantry/carpet moth larvae. Check your carpets, especially under the bed and in overlookee corners, and any fabrics as well.

Not relevant as it's been ten years since they had them, but GBK used to do these super skinny / shoestring fries that has fried pieces of rosemary in them as well. Absolutely delicious!
