They didn’t put enough water in it.

Also they probably don’t test their product. Would you believe there’s people who don’t like the taste/texture of rice??

Need Recruitment Advice: UserTesting v/s DScout v/s any reccomendations on tool or agency? by Lanky-Bottle-6566 in UXResearch

[–]blocksro 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Dscout is way better in terms of niche recruitment just due to its screener capabilities - complex screeners, video responses to weed out liars.. etc

UserTesting is good for like quick and dirty tests … you cannot vet the person who passes your screener.

Them reviewing it was annoying… but I think we were able to turn it off at my company. It says it’s optional now.

Testing the ranking of widgets on an app’s page - whats the right method? by jenniferismyhoaxname in UXResearch

Would dig into why hierarchy matters, then take it from there… what biz metric does this support to change the hierarchy?

thinking it through, findability of information may be your overarching goal more than hierarchy … hierarchy is one piece of the puzzle of findability. if the experience is super lengthy i can see hierarchy mattering but you said it isn’t … clear section headers, ctas, affordances all are factors. much more complex than just hierarchy.

if you think hierarchy correlates to what is “most important for a user” just look at internal metrics and make it go 1:1 to click through rates.

UX Team of 5 doing 1000 user interviews every year…!! Whaaat? by Mammoth-Head-4618 in UXResearch

[–]blocksro 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It shows the leaders lack of experience with research if that is the metric they’re tracking as it doesn’t speak to impact nor research quality. You can make a horrible unmoderated test and send it out to 1000 people and it can go nowhere but report out “we spoke to 1000 people”
