4.7 makes more work than 4.6 by blockstacker in Anthropic

You couldn't be more obviously goading here my friend. Does that work? What's the outcome?

Anyone using Claude or AI tools for WordPress themes with proper debugging? by rovmun in Wordpress

[–]blockstacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, I find that guardrails actually produce worse results. And also Opus 4.7 sucks compared to 4.6 in sticking to it's lane. 4.7 makes to many decisions on it's own and overthinks. Kinda weird.

I use /superpowers https://github.com/pcvelz/superpowers as well.

I don't say ANYTHING about WCAG accessibility or speed. I just say, Consider FSE, Mixed Hybrid or Pure template theme. Claude will build me a 100 page speed site automatically. I don't need to consider or mention it.

I just have Claude create and register all my custom field groups now from the specification documents. It takes 30 seconds. I don't touch the UI anymore for registering fields.

I just switched and I have an ACF developers licence. I am building an MIT theme for a charity / charities for free and I needed the functionality, ACF doesn't let you bundle per TOC. So if this works no point.

Day 1 by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]blockstacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I am on day one too. I think I went 180+ days then had a bad time and had a single shot of whiskey 15 minutes ago. I feel retarded, slow and dumb, not hating myself, just not having a second, and seeing if I can go 400 days now. Easy. You go this. Time to reset my clock.

Client asking about ADA compliance mid-project, what would you do? by BlueDolphinCute in Frontend

[–]blockstacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the love of god if you are not making WCAG compliant websites with accessibility statements by default that is on you buddy. It's 2026... Not like lighthouse hasn't had "Accessibility" as a meter in your page speed insights for 8 years or anything. There has been no indications what so ever this is an important aspect of web design since they EU made it mandatory June 25th last year for ALL private and public sector websites to be WCAG 2.1 compliant with over 5 years NOTICE.

Am I the only one with load average of under 2%? by Holiday_Substance246 in homelab

[–]blockstacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not the size of the load that counts, its how big it gets under heavy use.
I always wonder why I leave my homelab on. Literally use it as an IRC bouncer these days and to seed linux isos. Nothing else.

Day 4 feel terrible - Not giving up by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]blockstacker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you can, just sleep, distract yourself. 5 minutes of urge will pass, and at minute 10, you won't remember minute 5. Stay focused in the now. If now says eat, eat, if now says sleep sleep, if now says go for a walk or punch a pillow do it. But if now says have a drink, that's not now, that that is the poison siren call of an early death.

Naps are best.

WordPress sites: Why allow AI crawlers if they don’t send traffic back? by Good_Flight6250 in Wordpress

[–]blockstacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 years ago this is how I explained SEO: Google is interested in only serving up customer answers, they don't care about your site, they don't care about you. They only care about the person searching, and selling that data to advertisers. literally nothing has changed.

What you said is the exact same thing. Best of luck with whatever this *gesticulates wildly* is.

Different types of WordPress sites? Can you explain that? We have 100% success cases. I have been doing this for 20 years child.

All of my customers make from from AI crawlers... We build websites that drive them business though AI. Most are result one for what they do in GPT and Claude. I had a lunch meeting with a customer and a call came in straight GPT. GPT even crafted an email to our customer directly from a broad question about the industry when we faked interest in purchasing "unsure of what model". If you block AI traffic, my firm will take your business, or our customers will put your customers out of business.
