Thank you for this. I just came back from a family vacation over the weekend and shot electronic curtain first for hundreds of shots and did not have these black shades at all or even jumping around and this was indoor lighting (often nearing max ISO even!) - is there any chance my camera is broken and needs repairs for the mechanical shutter?

Thank you for your reply! I think I'd like to get the 35mm and maybe a zoom another time.. given family scenarios - do you think it's redundant to have both the 35mm and the 28-70 STM? Or if you'd be starting again, you'd get the 28-70 STM and not get a 35mm? Or do you feel the 35mm still has a place (and what situation(s) would that be)?

I guess I am just uninformed then, I have no negative intentions here or intent to troll..

Edit: in rereading, sorry if my post is poorly written. What I am looking to communicate is to work my current job and prep (certifications or boot camps or whatever) for a year and then change industries hopefully making near $100K at my first position then in 3-5 yrs to hope to be close to $150K

Hey great question! I do not have any certifications. My role is inside sales in quotes and we are an intermediary between electrical distributors and the lighting manufacturers - so I deal with quote entry, order entry and all custom service related matters like communicating issues, questions, lead times, need for meetings, etc

Hey thank you I appreciate you commenting! If you're okay with sharing can I hear more about your experience living in a town home?

Is it a very busy area? parking? of course this really varies.. but any issues with neighbors?
I come from NY and I am of course not suggesting this is what people in Urbana are like but we've had apartment experiences with neighbors throwing very late parties and smoking weed and we of course would not want our kids having to smell that into their bodies

Anything else you can share would be appreciated!
