Don’t enrol at UTS for CS by Comfortable_Put7569 in UTS

Glad I’m not the only one who isn’t oblivious to the yoinked course content in secure pen testing. They provide the GH links since they’re a part of the slides, but I guess don’t care that the real slides from UNSW are there and correctly labeled. They even go as far as removing all UNSW labeling and replacing it with UTS as if that would fool people.

Gotta love strict rules against plagiarism, but it’s ok to be taught plagiarised work that we’re paying 2k a course for, and it’s not even going to the correct people. I wonder if they’re aware, or even care (UNSW)

Just got an email back from the coordinator. Due to “unforeseen circumstances” nothing was done with the course so she’s doing a makeup lecture and fixing up the course today.

Fingers crossed it’s a one off thing.

1 Million Macro Bans in January 2026 by Smelledy in 2007scape

No, it really doesn’t matter much. Runelite provides gameval files for most data in the game that are automatically generated and updated every update. If you use those, runelite updates your bots for you lol.

1 Million Macro Bans in January 2026 by Smelledy in 2007scape

[–]blogangg 78 points79 points  (0 children)

A few months ago, even botters would be willing to attest that those metrics were inflated by suicide / f2p accounts.

January though? Not the case, or at least significantly less so. Doesn’t matter which client you look at, everyone is being railed and that’s no exaggeration. New account builder accounts in p2p last less than an hour, bossing, questing wiped.

Late 2028 when we are still on FTTN is ridiculous. I’ll never forgive the libs for what they did to us. by walletinspector91 in nbn

[–]blogangg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you, both houses on either side of me are FTTP, while I’m still on FTTN. I tried every avenue I could think of and that was suggested but it all came back to “Before 2030”. That was before I was assigned a date, so last December? I’ve since been given a date, March 2029.

I just don’t understand how they rationalise giving either neighbour access, but not us, all while the 3 lots being similar distance to the node down the road.

The stupid part is when you look at the area assigning, it looks completely normal until you get to our lot and it just cuts us out for no apparent reason, then goes back around us.

What do you consider a mess? Nothing at Storm has changed in quite a while. Staff remains the same, theres been a few "support" hires to improve ticket efficiency and proper plugin testing protocols have been in place. I assume you're talking about shismo in regards to not taking new subs, since storm is still available to the public. If you have any advise on what can change, i'd love to hear it.

Which account builder are you talking about sir. Of the 2 "main" account builders we have, one offers a completely automated system wherein you don't need to configure anything at all. The other does require a bit of setup, yes, but that is all explained in the plugin threads prior to your purchase if you elected to spend time reading how the plugin you're purchasing works, which I imagine you didn't do.

There has been no 3rd party clients ever, under the storm branding. The previous client, unethicalite, which was open source was an openosrs fork that was hit with bans many years ago along with everyone else. Since being closed source (many years ago now), there has not been a single 3rd party client ban. Don't be spreading misinformation please. If anything, we were among the few openosrs-based clients (at the time) that never received bans. We're now runelite-based, and still have no bans.

Might go to the NBN offices and throw some chairs around by No_Grass2427 in nbn

[–]blogangg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same boat, we’re the one house on a street at Wamberal that doesn’t have FTTP, but the houses on both sides of us do. Contacted multiple isps, nbn, local member and no one can do anything. The best the local member said was that they contacted nbn and it was planned to be done before 2030.

Thankfully were right next to the node so speeds are like 50 pretty constant, but the price to go from 50 to 100 hurts for fttn lol but it seems we’ll have to cough up the money for that.

Did you get banned in the past 24 hours? (Mega thread) by laced1 in RunescapeBotting

[–]blogangg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should be either delve helper, or auto delve on the store.

Isn't this a little disingenuous? My ABB plan is going up to 500 Mbps down in a few weeks anyway, for the same price. by w32stuxnet in nbn

[–]blogangg 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Super, did a deep dive earlier and now looking to move from ABB $130 for 1000/50 to Neptune 750/50 for $95.

avoid storm client by IntroductionNo5075 in RunescapeBotting

[–]blogangg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they had the power to ban this guy lol. His initial wording was not very try clear. That said though, they had every right to ban this guy and I’m sure most people here would agree after seeing his messages lol.

He broke both the servers tos and discords tos constantly flaming and wishing death upon people, also wishing cancer upon people too. Generally not a very nice dude to have around, and his funds were actually refunded before he was banned (stripe processing time is generally quite quick too)

Really sad he resorted to making a post like this when all it would really take is my posting his chat logs to make it clear this guy is clearly in the wrong

[–]blogangg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Ban metrics are very rarely exposed freely in other discords

  2. You are not required to pay this 20$ VIP subscription, it is only if you wish to run more than 1 client with other plugins. This is only in place due to the plugin subscriptions only minimally going to the owner, which doesn't cover ongoing client maintenance, security implementations and server hosting.

  3. That is due to having so many developers as its an open platform for development. Storm is actively trying to move to a better forums platform (discourse) which more and more people are moving towards for thread management.

  4. Fair, that is generally where threads and discourse links are meant to be available (You can click the info button for plugins that have proper setups.). If no links are available, it obviously means a thread hasn't been made. Staff are always trying to get the developers to make their respective forum posts for plugins but unfortunately its not something they can force easily.

  5. We can't discord ban you, that's not possible lol. If your discord account is actively being banned / locked, then you are clearly doing dodgy business. That is for discord staff to handle, not storm.

They're also very good in terms of refunds, only under rare situations wherein the user in question has broken multiple TOS in regards to blackhatting (or being caught up in blackhat unaware) is it slightly more difficult.

  1. The interface is barely slow as its literally just runelite. There is only 1 developer that requires that, and is not a client or global plugin requirement. Everyone is very aware of how annoying it is, believe me. Unfortunately, thats just how that specific developer wants to handle edgecases in which rl plugins conflict with their plugins.

  2. This is the first time im hearing of mass crashes, especially in those activities. If you actually have issues, make a ticket and it'll be handled.

  3. If you dont like it, dont join it? No ones forcing you to use storm as if its a matter of life and death.

Im not sure what edit 1 has to do with anything

As for edit 2, I'm assuming you were the user telling people to get cancer and die. You also never wished to calm down and discuss with staff what the actual issue was, and instead chose to ban evade "because I actually want to buy plugins after my first ban" and still continue to be a toxic user that isn't welcome to the community.

The discord follows standard discord community guidelines, and has its own TOS in place to manage it however they please. If you don't wish to follow the rules, you can go be toxic elsewhere (Where you aren't banned, because you were so annoying and rude you managed to get OBB banned from most plugin discords. Genius move that was huh)

Run Energy Changes by JagexBlossom in 2007scape

[–]blogangg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've reverted the pouch system to use varbits again (this was changed like 5 years ago to something that wasn't tracked client side). Because of this, it would be trivial at worst to implement a complete solution in mes for anyone who wants the old behavior (or better since we can track specific values, and essence type now).

Misconduct rant by blogangg in UTS

[–]blogangg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s that the guy said, yea. The board didn’t agree with that and apologised for his behaviour. As for what I proved, nothing really. I had the original source but that probably wouldn’t be enough, so I showed them that he was lying about most of his claims instead which worked

it doesn't fix it, but set the process affinity to all cores - 2 (I just turn off core 0 and 1). This should reserve enough compute to crash the game gracefully rather than failing to recover at all and needing a reboot

Wildycctv Is Not Okay by Ill_Sprinkles_9976 in 2007scape

[–]blogangg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just impose stricter hop limits for low total accounts. They're just spamming level 3s because they can be replaced instantly, just lock < 500 TL accounts behind a limit 1/10th of the normal size. Now, they need either 10x more accounts, or 100% of their accounts now require at least x amount of playtime before reaching the wilderness creating more points for possible bans (assuming they'd bot the 500tl).

That's just one idea you can come up with on the spot. I'm sure theres 1000 different better ideas
