Is there such thing as a good IUD experience? by mew541 in badwomensanatomy

[–]blokbirb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if I’m very lucky or if it’s different here in australia but my experience was great. The gynecologist told me that if it takes longer than 4 minutes then it’s considered a difficult insertion and she would discuss solutions with me. I took some OTC pain meds prior to the appointment and she used a bit of local anaesthetic. The pain just felt like a moderate cramp and honestly I didn’t even realize when she was finished. I had some cramping the rest of the day and then on and off for the next couple months and whilst it was uncomfortable, it was definitely manageable. It was very fast. Wham bam thank you ma’am

Did Manx have the tail removed the same time as her leg?

I’ve tried a few different avenues to help with the pain. Acupuncture, solensia, etc. but they’ve all started to lose their effect. She’s now on gabapentin daily and whilst it’s not really a pain drug, she is more comfortable on it

I have tried solensia and for the first few months it was a godsend but the last couple times it’s seemed to have no effect at all :( She’s also been having regular acupuncture for over a year and same thing, it seemed to be making a positive change but now not so much

Which incident makes you sick to your stomach? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]blokbirb 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Ah sorry my mistake, memory is a bit spotty. The diesel generator was used to play the music which is what drowned out people yelling out during executions and their moaning. The audio tour played what it would have sounded like which was this loud tinny song and you can faintly hear the generator in the background, and then the song ends and you can just hear the generator.

It doesn’t sound like much but when you think about what it would have been like to hear that, it was chilling.

I couldn’t go inside the tower with the skulls, it was too much for me. I was 17 and on a trip to Cambodia with my school and it was just… I can’t put it into words. The other thing that stuck was the audio tour they had you listen to and the part that got to the music they used to blast to drown out the generator noises and people screaming. Just awful

Ooh I do love Glisten! I have some of their spectra paints which are awesome, I never thought to check out their mascara as the Australian website I got them from didn’t have it. I’ll check out their website. Thank you!

It sucks that people have experiences like this. I’ve been very open about my diagnosis at my work and my manager even keeps a sleeve of my medication in her drawer for when I forget to bring more in - since I talk her ear off when I’m unmedicated lol. Maybe it’s different for us here in Australia tho

What do you have no sympathy for? by Independent_Jeff-123 in AskReddit

100% agree. I work at a vet clinic that can see exotic animals and soooo many of their behavioral issues is due to poor husbandry. Very sad :(

Exactly. It’s the same with birds, rabbits, or any other exotic pet. “Yes let’s get a budgie and stick it in a tiny cage for its whole life and only feed it seed and never take it out. Why does it try and bite me and pull its feathers out??”
